I3t2 for throw, i3t for flood
I got this as a lower powered alternative to my Sofirn IF22A for night shifts as a Paramedic. The i3T is a great little torch. I bought both the i3T and the i3T2 to compare. The i3T has a slightly warmer kelvin and a floodier beam where as the i3T2 has a cooler kelvin and a bit narrower of a beam but still quite floody. Both are easily capable of lighting up a corridor or back alley with a reasonable throw and equally are good as an inspection/work light for closer hands-on work. I tend to use this torch in short blasts of a couple of minutes rather than continual discharge and as such the battery does last a good while under these circumstances. I believe a continual discharge will last circa 30-40 minutes on a single AAA hence i carry a couple of spare batteries in my coat pocket for peace of mind. The button feels nice and firm, wouldnt likely accidentally be turned on and has a crisp click to the lock. The aluminium build and glass lens feel quality and the torch overall has a nice weight to it. Overall for my first olight torch im quite impressed given their mixed reliability per model. I gifted the i3T to my mother for her handbag and kept the i3T2 for work.

Love it. Read update….. Update
Cracking bit of kit VERY well made and packaged. Very bright for a single AAA cell. Being REALLY picky it lacks a beam adjust like a LED Lenser but it appears much more solidly made. Obviously bright is not enough for me so I’ve fitted a 10440 battery (3.7 volt) which even the low setting is pretty bright but on Full Bore it’s ridiculous! Will it last running twice the voltage, who knows? I’ll use it every day at work and will report back if it melts or if it’s still going strong I’ll report on that in a couple Months. Update, as above I’ve been heavily abusing this poor little torch for nearly a year running twice the voltage it was designed for and it’s only just started to develop a slightly dickie on off switch, on off every 66 seconds for 10 hours a day four days a week is quite some going though. For ‘normal’ users out there I’m sure you’d get a life time’s use out of it. I’m going to retire it from her hard life, drop back to a1.5 volt AAA cell and carry around in non work trousers. As for those expecting a full beam light for constant use of more than a few mins under cars etc you need to have read up about battery’s under load and how they perform. These use tiny batteries that just aren’t designed to provide constant high drain use, it’s like any item you need to buy the correct tool for the job ie a larger (poss AAcell) battery or one of Olights rechargeable 3.7 volt torches. Incidentally, one of those is next on my purchase list so watch out for that review. Sadly, my ‘retired’ to non work trousers little baby managed to find a tiny hole in the corner of my Jeans pocket and that was the last I saw of her. So, here we are three years after original purchase I’ve bought another! Buy one for everyone you love they REALLY ARE that Good. A thousand times better than your phone and if in your pocket you’ll using it a least once a day, when you do you’ll wonder how you ever managed without one.

Decent for pocket carry
Good, but wait for a discount. Don't pay £20, I paid £13. I got the desert tan and it is actually a lot darker, more like mud than tan, however the anodising is good. The spiral grip is not very grippy, I would have preferred an octagonal profile. If you want something with knurling Lumintop AAA is a good choice. The two way clip is comfortable, but I find I'm not using it because the torch is so small and light it feels good free in the pocket. The clicky tail switch is mechanical, has a decent travel and strong click. Light modes are low, high with momentary on. However I find that mine will 'double click'. The light can momentary on by holding the tail switch just short of fully depressing. For me this sometimes means the light will go straight to high with a flicker on low when I want to turn low on fully. Quite annoying and if I had paid full price I would be really annoyed. Battery life is good, especially on low. If high is used continuously then you got about an hour. Low is roughly 16 hours. That being said, usually an 18650 light with a moonlight mode will last for days and days. Brightness wise, the high is alright, and the low is good. The low is a good amount of light for use in darkness, not too much to shock the eyes and enough to throw around an average room. The tail cap comes off and the head appears to be fully secured after initially assembly. The threads are very nice square cut and easy to start. Tail cap is sealed with an o-ring.

No nonsense, usable torch
Uncomplicated torch, two brightness settings, pocket and baseball cap peak combined clip. Standard batteries that almost every shop and petrol station keep on stock. I know I've bought at least six, up to now, not because they have become faulty or been lost, but because I keep in the car, toolbox, coat pockets and given to friends and family.

Great little torch
Value for money torch - I like these as small and plenty powerful enough with simple features

Small but amazing quality
If you’re a gadget fiend and you love outstanding quality, this is the perfect small torch for you. Smaller than you imagine, fits into the palm of your hand. Two brightness levels, you can spot by pressing the end cap, once for a lume that’s great for close up work, twice for a 200lm spot that lights up the room or has a great long distance reach. I bought to fit in the elasticated pouch of my leatherman charge and fits perfectly. Comes in black also but I went for the anodised sand colour which has a really good feeling. Obviously early days on reliability but impressed so far

Excellent bit of kit
This is an excellent bit of kit. I already own the I5R EOS and it's a brilliant torch, I use it every day. I decided to go for this one aswell, the I3T EOS (slightly smaller with one single AAA) so I could pair it with my Victorinox Climber. It clips and fits exactly on the left hand side of the Victorinox leather case with my knife inside, as seen in the picture. I bought the 'Desert Tan' colour, it looks awesome and it matches the leather Victorinox case, If that's important to you. Simple to use, a high and low option, always starts in low mode and double click for the high 180 lumens. Fantastic torch, looks good, really well made and really bright for its size. The double sided clip on the side is also brilliant.
