Why does your description say its the first dune themed game in the last 40 years? One was literally made two years ago from Gale force 9?

The Gale Force 9 was a was merely a cosmetic update, with slight if any tweaks to the rules of the game originally released 40 years ago.

Am i correct in understanding that this is "version 1"? it is june of 2022 now, and i hear there is now a version 2, and possibly a version 3.

I own this game and regularly follow the design studios news articles. There is only q version of the base game. What you may be thing of is the Deluxe Upgrade pack (which adds minis and a big storage box to contain the base game, minis, and Rise of Ix) and an expansion called Rise of Ix. The deluxe upgrade pack also contains copies of 1 card from the base game which in early printings had a minor error that has been corrected in later printings. No other 1.1 or 1.2 editions exist to my knowledge.
