Rufus Isn't Always Correct
I ask Amazon's Rufus this: "can it power to cordless power tools; like a drill?" The answer wasn't what I hoped for. This was part of the reply; The DROK 48V Power Supply you're looking at outputs 0-48V at up to 10A, but most cordless drills operate at much lower voltages (12V, 18V, or 20V). While this power supply could theoretically power a drill, the direct connection would be challenging since cordless tools are designed to work with specific battery packs and connectors. The answer wasn't entirely correct. I found that the DROK 48V Power Supply will power most all my workshop desk tools; drills, sanders jigsaws, etc. This provides me with ability to use all my old outdated tools without buying batteries. I simply soldered electric cords to the devices. They all run and work great now.

Great price and great power supply
This thing is awesome! It says that in 120v mode it will only output 36vdc but it will output close to 51vdc and I've had it up to 8 amps. No issues. Haven't tried 10amps but shouldn't go over 80% on any power supply.

Good range, very stable, accurate voltmeter
This power supply has a wide voltage adjustment range - from 0 to 51.6 VDC. I have checked the output with an accurate voltmeter and found the gauge on top of power supply to be within .06 V from my voltmeter. By the way the gauge shows you 3 digits, so below 10 V you get two decimal points. The voltage adjustment is a 1 turn pot, it is very difficult to dial in the exact voltage you need. But once you have some voltage setting, it stays very stable regardless of the load. I have tried various loads in my cool shop and the fan never came in. It probably would if I held the load for a long time. At idle this power supply consumes only 1.9 W. At 48.1 V I was able to load it with 8.85 A current and it operated with no problem. Please note there is a nameplate label just above the terminal block. It says that with input of 100-120 VAC the output is 0-36 VDC/10A, and with input of 200-240 VAC the output is 0-48 VDC/10A. This is quite difficult to understand. At the time of the test my input was 120.8 VAC, 60 Hz. What would happen if I adjust the output voltage to 48 V and then load the power supply with 10 A? I already approached this condition during the test and did not observe any voltage drop. Some of the reviews mention there is no mounting holes or hardware. This is simply not true. The aluminum case has 4 mounting holes at the bottom and 6 mounting holes on its sides. All holes are M4 thread and such screws are available everywhere. Just make sure your screws do not penetrate too deep into the case and touch the internal components. Overall it is a good power supply for various testing and experiments. If you need it to operate at just one voltage setting, you better find another supply. It is so easy to accidentally bump the voltage output and cause serious problems down the line.

Great price for variable power supply with 0- 28 Vdc at 10 Amp max.
Very happy with this power supply. I have only tested up to 5 Amp at 28 Vdc. No issues so far. I have not tested up to 10 amps and don't plan to do so. Lastly, the internal fan is automatically turned on when the unit believes hot. At 5 Amp at 28 Vdc, the fan has not turned as yet after running for two hours at 75 degrees F ambient temperature.

Defective. Smoked and burned up in 2 hours of use BUT READ FULL REVIEW AND EDITS/UPDATES 5 STARS
Defective. Smoked, Burned up in less than 2 hours. Wired it, started it up, adjusted voltage to what I needed and all was working well. 2 hours later I smelled a terrible stink. When to check what was up. It was dead and still smoking. Unplugged. Going to give another one more try then Adjust this rating if it burns up too. Or how it does. I will use it for a month, then give feedback on a second unit. Staring Return now with seller... EDIT JANUARY 10 2022 The second one is So Far So Good. Voltage does not very at all like first. They are ROCK SOLID were the first fluctuated. When dialed in, it holds steady. Which leads me to believe it was a defective component inside. The unit is still working. So far 5 stars for this one. Maybe the other was just one in so many defective. Here is Hoping. I REALY like this little unit! Will get back in one month. Or post if the unit Burns up like first. Edit Quick Update January 16th, 2021 Been using it EVERY day. Voltage stays constant and has had ZERO problems so far. VERY HAPPY!!! FINAL EDIT FEB 9 2020 Using daily. Works GREAT ๐ I WILL BE BUYING A SECOND. WELL WORTH THE MONEY. Will dial up to 50 Volts. Running most all times at 47.5 Volts. If it ever goes bad, I will update.

Worked as stated
I am using this as power source for removing rust (electrolysis) in sodium bicarb bath. I need constant 12 volt output. I did not know prior to buying this unit what type of amperage I would need. The unit has built in fan that automatically comes on/off (bit load but that does not matter for my needs). Does not come with any instructions but easy to figure out how to set up. Need to provide your own input and output wires. This is bare bones unit. It worked exactly as needed. Got exactly 12 volts out (variable dial was easy to set). Maintained output over several hours with no problem. Only setting is the voltage dial. Can not control amperage, that is set based on your system needs and max of 10amps (I am only pulling 1.4Amps at 140. watts)

Stable!
Rock solid power supply. I was a bit worried about the potentiometer drifting but they used quality components. I set mine at 24.4 volts for a project. Its been in use for about 6 weeks now, powered down at the end of each day. It always comes back to 24.4 at power up. Has not drifted even 1/10th of a volt.
