DEWALT Right Angle Attachment, Flex Shaft, Drill Attachment, 12-Inch (DWARAFS)

Some jobs have you needing to insert or remove a screw or drill a hole without enough room to get a proper tool in place. This attachment will solve this problem for you, or heaven help you if even this won't fit. This comes with two accessories. The little appendage you see in the picture is a handle you can attach perpendicular to the bit, either on the left or the right. This will help you get a grip and hold it steady while working. There is also a very short little Phillips bit. Almost too short. But you might need something that short. I used it. I prefer to always drill guide holes for screws, and this will help you do that. I also prefer to use a punch to start a guide hole. For the screws, especially in tight spaces, you really want torx-head screws. Even they can skip, and when using a device like this you can't always exert the pressure that you would if you had a large space to work in. So a Phillips head screw might get stubborn and start slipping when it's halfway in, and it can be tough to back it out. This device will help you, but I just can't emphasize how much better torx screws are, especially in tight spaces.

Work would suck without this. Allows me to get into areas that I otherwise couldn’t. Not for heavy duty work, but great for HVAC.

When you need this, you need this. I have a small, flat ratcheting screwdriver but it is very hard to use because you still have to use the other hand to hold the little bit until the screw gets started before you can actually use the ratcheting feature. It does not work with a cordless drill/driver like this one does. I like that this one has the little handle you can attach to either side. The only problem will be keeping hubby from walking off with it, lol

Great little attachment! Needed it to drill holes in some tight spaces and it worked perfectly, will hold onto this for sure.

Everybody should have one

This product helped me get in a tight space for some very tricky bolts with an adapter. I can tell you that when you really try to put some torque on it that it would try to bind up so I just got everything as snug as I could. Just use loctight if needed and you should be good! If you are looking at this or the other new version that's a four in one adapter set they're basically the same except for the other one has plastic that you can hold on to but again it's also bigger so if you are worried about a tight spot then this is your tool ! The other one is preferable if you have room for your hand and still need angle as you can really securely hold it as you're trying to mount whatever. FYI: DEWALT Modular Right Angle Attachment Set
