The vitamin is very good. It’s oil based, which is the best base for most vitamins, in terms of maximum absorption. Not only that, but the oil they used for this vitamin is sunflower oil, the one oil known for naturally containing high levels of vitamin E. Sunflower oil also contains vitamin K1 and is rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids and monounsaturated fatty acids, both of which help lower LDL (bad cholesterol) in the body. In addition to that, rosemary extract was added to this vitamin. Rosemary essential oil has anti-inflammatory and anti-carcinogenic properties, and contains antioxidants, but it has a very unpleasant taste. Also, unlike most vitamin Es on the market, this vitamin contains both types of vitamin E: tocopherols AND tocotrienols. The health benefits of both are tremendous (protect DNA from free radical damage (cancer-preventing property), strengthens immune system, protects cell membranes, shelters active enzyme sites from damage, reduces cholesterol, protects against brain cell damage, etc.). However, because tocotrienols are so much more potent then tocopherols, this vitamin must be consumed with caution. The dose provided here in one capsule is rather high, and may cause adverse reactions, such as stomach pain, headache, nausea and even vomiting. To avoid these unpleasant reactions, I recommend taking a smaller dose. I personally bite a hole in the capsule and squeeze it’s contents onto a piece of bread, leaving some still in a capsule, so I don’t take a full dose. Also, make sure you take this vitamin with food, as taking it on an empty stomach increases the likelihood of adverse reactions. For best preservation, after opening the bottle, I keep the vitamin refrigerated. Vitamin came in good condition and arrived on time.

Vitamin E is great for skin, nails, and hair. This product works and l highly recommend it. If you have a cold sore and it is in remission take this product to speed up the healing process.

I bought these to avoid the synthetic dl-alpha tocopheral in most store-bought vitamins. There is some disagreement in the scientific studies as to whether the synthetic blocks uptake of the natural vitamin E in diet, but I have macular degeneration and am not taking the chance.

This is a good product, but every order I have received is short a pill. The bottle says there are 60 capsules, but each bottle has had only 59. This messes up my use, in that I take another supplement of 60 pills, and I am short each time in matching up my dosage.

This is a great Vitamin E ! I highly recommend. I have been taking vitamin E since I was 16yrs old. I have a hard time finding true Tocopherols and Tocotrienols, this has it. I feel this is a great value and product and I would recommend it to others.

I have these Life Extension vitamin E supplements on auto ship. I usually receive a good product but this last shipment was a bottle with a melted together blob that I could not use-I assume the summer heat is to blame. By the time I used my previous bottle and opened this one, the window to return was closed. If I had shaken the bottle I would have known there was a problem in time to return. So I am not giving a bad overall rating- because I do love the product-but I am writing this review so customers can check their product for such damage when shipping in summer heat.

The first day I took these I took it with another new supplement. I got terrible stomach cramps, nauseous, tired, weak. I thought it was the other supplement, because it is dairy based and I don't drink milk. I stopped taking the other supplement. I took this one 2 more times and time each time the same results. I need an explanation as to what is in this product that is causing this reaction. I am taking supplements to be healthy, not to cause harm. I also feel like the rating is deceptive. It shows almost all five stars for reviews, and a small percentage of negative reviews. Yet there are a ton of negative reviews, many saying the same. I just realized touching the review bar behind each star amount on the graph, shows all the reviews. I want a refund and need to know I have not unknowingly consumed somthing detrimental to my well being, or if this is just a side effect when first taking this supplement.
