Nicely made, but power ranges were not well calibrated
I wanted a small wattmeter and SWR bridge for portable ham operations. This unit arrived quickly and seemed nicely built (especially at the low price). The SWR function was fine, but the two power ranges were both mis-calibrated. Both the 10 and 100 watt ranges showed about 7 watts when being driven with 10 watts. I confirmed this with my Bird 43 and an MFJ ham wattmeter. With all three meters in series, the Bird 43 and the MFJ showed the expected 10 watts, but the Astatic showed 7 watts.. Fortunately, it was easy to correct this: two screws on the sides to remove the top cover and I had access to the calibration pots for the two ranges. Set them to show the 10 watts as indicated on other meters and and now I can use the Astatic when portable.

Works exactly as described. Would recommend to anyone looking for a good tuner.

Good SWR meter, low price.
This is not an expensive meter, but it doesn't need to be. If all you want is an SWR meter, this is great. If you want a wattage meter, go ahead and spend a little more. This meter has dialed in 4 antennas for me on installations and done a couple of checkups, and it's very easy to work with, and gets things right as far as I can tell. My radios get out and sound good, and I don't think they would if this meter didn't work well.

Unfortunately, I did not read the fine print at the bottom of the description. If I had, I would have seen this is only for CB frequencies. Does not work for HAM bands

Caution - Unreliable !
The power switch works or not -- is the mystery. The SWR switch seems labelled upside down -- this was also the experience of AMAZON.COM buyers, but in more than a year, nothing has been done to rectify the faults ! You would need another SWR meter to test this before trusting the readings ! On the whole -- very unreliable.
