I like it, was exactly what was described. May be looking for some other types as well.

This ribbed rectangular 1/2” seal bends easily in both directions. I used this to replace a damaged septic tank lid seal. Sticks easily, stays on. Squishy enough to conform to the riser cut edge. I stuck some to a 2x6 to show how well it bends. See the pic. The lid will be opened again in 3 years. Every 3 years my system gets a mandatory inspection. The lid is a nonstandard size so no off the shelf seal was available.

This product is NOT .187" thick. It measures .240" thick. It was too thick for my doors. It was springing the door. I was comparing this product to Steele Rubber Products (70-3846-277) which is listed as the same thickness, however the Steele sample I received measures .200", much closer to the .187" (3/16") than this product. Also, it pealed off the door very easily when I removed it. The adhesive that Steele used on another self stick seal does not come off nearly as easy. Edit: 3/21/2026 The company contacted me about the original review. They refunded my money and explained that these rubber extrusions are dimensioned without the adhesive. I understand why that is (since some don't come with adhesive) but it doesn't help when you are looking for something of a specific dimension. I suggest they add an extra dimension for the adhesive or an overall thickness with the adhesive. Anyway, they offered to send me a sample of a similar product that has a very thin adhesive strip. I gave them my address and they sent me a whole package of the new product! Wow! That is customer service! Thumbs up to Carrie from the ESI Team! I measured the new product and it is thinner, even slightly thinner that the Steele part numbers I mentioned (which is interesting that the Steele part number mentioned, when I purchased 20' of it, it measures .235 which is .035" thicker than the sample they sent me...not good that what I purchased is thicker than the sample??). The ESI product is wider than the Steele which is a plus for my application. I will try to get it installed in the next week or so on one door and see how it fits and closes.

I got this to put around the door of a Jeep that was leaking. The adhesive is strong in the rubber-like material bends to fit the shape of the door. It stopped the leak and seems to be holding up well.

My Sei206 boat has two seats with ice boxes underneath. So I decided to seal the gap between the seat and the ice boxes underneath with this product primarily because of the 3M adhesive and the Neoprene material. During installation, I discovered that I could make 90 degree turns as opposed to having to cut and restart. The final result is one continuous square shaped sealing tape! Highly recommend.
