These socks work wonderfully for hiking in shallow water. My feet stayed dry and comfy until I waded into water deeper than the socks are tall. Water then came in thru the top but not much. My feet were not water logged and stayed relatively comfortable with continued movement. These also work great for keeping sand off your feet while hiking in sand. I am a size 9 women's shoe and bought a small. Size was perfect. I have thicker calves and had no issues with fit around my calves. Hand wash and don't put them in the dryer.

These are really neat socks, they do keep your feet legs dry. They also keep your feet cold. Other then my feet being too cold and I live in FL they are great.

I want to say that these socks are probably waterproof for snow activities and rain. However, it is NOT totally waterproof if you are, for instance, standing in a pond of water for an hour. One sock stayed dry, but the other sock let in some water. I think for the actually purpose of these socks, which was not just standing in a pond, then it probably works as promised. The reason we bought the socks was because we wanted to fish in a pond, and there is not much of a bank. So, that means we have to stand in the water. However, there are leeches. So, even though it was 50/50 whether the socks stayed completely dry, they did what we wanted: kept the leaches off, and did not get as soaked as regular knee socks. I'm still giving it 5/5 because I feel like our test case was a little extreme. It is as waterproof as fishing waders? No. But did it perform pretty well in an extreme use case? Sure. We'll use them again.

I purchased 2 pairs of the knee high socks for my husband and myself for cycling in the rain. They are comfortable and warm for me. For my husband though, the socks don’t seem to keep his feet warm but he loves the socks same as I do. Kept his feet dry riding in the rain. I put mine to a real waterproof test- I rode through a 300’ long area of flooded road, 9” deep. My legs and top of feet stayed dry but the soles of my feet were soaked. So the picture of the feet running through a creek on the packaging got wet feet if the shoes filled with water, I would bet.

Arrived within 24 hours (today). I’m shoe size 12 EEE. I ordered large and they fit perfectly. Haven’t had time to test waterproof properties.

I use these with Chacos or Hoka river sandals. They are not 100% waterproof but they do slow water penetration and do a reasonable job keeping my feet warm. Recently used them on a week long canoe trip in cold water in northern British Columbia. I think I now prefer these over neoprene socks.

I would give it less than one star on this wading sock. I bought them in 11/25; it doesn’t work other than the first two times of use. It started leaking on one side and now both socks leak. In total, I used them less than ten times. I took care of them, including cleaning and letting them air dry. Not recommended.
