Paleo

My wife and I love playing board games, and we’ve been looking for more co-op style experiences — this one really caught our attention. Paleo has so much potential and offers a satisfying mix of strategy, teamwork, and discovery. We played through our first round recently, and it was a lot of fun once things clicked. The rulebook is a bit information-heavy at first, so expect a learning curve as you figure out the flow of turns and crafting mechanics. I still had a few questions along the way (for example, whether a spear adds attack or must be crafted beforehand), but once we got rolling, the cooperative feel really shined. The theme is immersive, and every choice feels meaningful — it’s the kind of game where communication and planning really matter. We’re already excited to play again and explore more scenarios. Overall, a fantastic co-op game for those who enjoy strategic teamwork and don’t mind a little setup time to get into the groove. Highly recommended for couples or groups who like to problem-solve together.

This was a Christmas gift for my daughter. She is an archeologist/anthropologist. I played the game with her, it was a little confusing at first, but once I understood it I really liked it. You work together to build up your tribe to survive. Based on the cards you draw you may not be able to hunt for food. Your tribe members will then die. We played the easy level and won. Not sure how we would have done playing a harder level.

A nice expansion to the base game of Paleo. If you have played all scenarios of the base game you should get this expansion. We have been playing the first couple scenarios of the expansions and we are loving it so far. They are a nice addition and we are looking forward to playing the rest

We typically play heavier co-ops, like Mage Knight, and Arkham Horror: LCG. This is a nice change in pace as it's a bit "easier". Everything is presented very nicely. I'd say it's a tad bit expensive, and I wish there was a single board instead of 3, but as a design choice I don't really mind. It's a fun game, with choices to be made, an element of push your luck, surprises to find, etc. We enjoy the theme. It offers nice table talk, discussion, strategy, and mostly important choices, with a bit of a push your luck element. It plays quick, the goals are clear, the crafting is thematic and fit the scenarios. I usually hate crafting. I also hate Robinson Crusoe, which this is like a super streamlined, funner version of. So far I like it enough to have ordered the sometimes hard to gather expansions. I'd say the rule book isn't the best, and this is well documented. The game is easy enough to figure out however, but for people new to board games this would probably be a struggle at first. To me it feels like a co-op version of the old solo game Friday, which I enjoyed a lot. Give it a go, especially if it's at a sub $60 MSRP price.

Un juegazo cooperativo, en donde constantemente hay comunicación y siempre se planea en grupo. Todos juegan a la vez, tiene unos componentes bastante decentes y un nivel de desafío y re-jugabilidad que hacen que el producto valga completamente la la pena. Posdata: Este producto sí vino empacado en una caja, lo cual es un milagro viendo cómo está enviando los productos últimamente (bolsas de papel sin importar si se trata de un artículo delicado).

No me suelen gustar los cooperativos pero este nos encantó

The game is a lot of fun. It is very easy to learn, but hard to master. Some scenarios took us 5-7 tries until we won. The theme about surviving in a primeval world is well integrated and the different modules and scenarios that come with the game make it fresh and interesting for many evenings. I also recommend getting the extension "A new beginning". Some stores still sell it in EN.

Engaging cooperative game. Played with 7yo. Never a dull moment. This is the second edition (08/2021) with updated graphics (multi ethnic cavemen)

El mejor juego que he comprado. Empecé mi colección hace un par de meses y cada juego que compro me hace pensar que podría haber elegido mejor, excepto este. Increíble cooperativo con gran factor sorpresa que te hará pensar muchísimo en tus partidas. Con demasiada rejugabilidad, he probado 3 veces el primer nivel, de los 10 que el juego te recomienda, y sigue siendo retador. No lo piensen, comprenlo. No es dependiente del idioma.

A la familia le gusto mucho, basta con que alguien sepa ingles moderadamente, en caso de que queden dudas hay un monton de tutoriales en youtube, es un juegazo, inmediatamente se volvio un favorito de la familia, tiene diferentes escenarios y objetivos, y cada partida se siente como una aventura diferente, los componentes son una pasada, y no es muy dificil de aprender, es muy inmersivo y te tiene al borde de tu asiento rumbo al final de la partida, en resumen imperdible.

Es un juego excelente, sumamente divertido. En cuanto al envío, todo en tiempo y forma, llegó en perfecto estado.
