Will this help with 10 year old deep scars

Yes, I have scars from 40 years ago that it makes a difference. However, the older the scar, the longer it takes to get rid of it. I'm on about a year on the oldest ones and while they are better, they are not gone yet. (about half). Note: I don't use it everyday. I have found on new scars that once every other day, even every 3rd day is fine. I think the "once daily" thing is just to sell more product. On new scars where I can monitor them very well, I've never found them to heal any faster every day vs every other day or even every third day.

Will it help with old facial dark spots?

It may vary from person to person, but not sure this product would be the one to go for something like that. You might want to try Ambi Skincare Fade Cream. I've used that product on a facial scar in the past and had good results within a few weeks.

My box was sealed but the tube did not have a seal. Did anyone have a seal on the tube of this product?

My tube just arrived and the box was mangled and the tube did not have a seal. I am suspicious of the contents.

how is it for older scars?

Unfortunately, I don't know about the product working on older scars. My scar is within the last 2 years (maybe that might be considered old!) and I haven't seen a big difference yet, but it's a nickel sized spot on my chest where they did a skin biopsy. I'm just hoping eventually it won't be quite as noticeable. It says to give it 8 or so weeks and I have only been using it about 3 to 4 weeks.
