Is this compatible with an IPad?

i did not get a chance to try it but that is my understanding.

How does this compare to babyface, irig pro, apogee duet 2 and zoom h6? i want a portable interface to record with my ipad pro on the go.

I use mine on a Win 10 Surface pro 4, so I don't know about the irig pro. The apogee would probably have better A/D converters, but it's only two channels, and you have to buy plugins for some of the better console emulation. I would put the sound quality well ahead of the zoom unit. It records 8 track audio pretty easliy, the 2 onboard preamps sound very good, and the k mix also functions as a standalone audio mixer. It's built like a tank, and with no moving parts to break off, its a great live recorder. Again, i use it on a windows system, but it was developed for apple devices. It can mix in multiple surround configurations, it slices, it dices, it makes julienne fries. For the money, i recommend it highly for mobile multitrack recording.

What is the sampling rate? It says 32 bits, what rate? 196 and I’d be impressed
