This keyboard looks AMAZING but it does take some getting used to.
I recently ordered this transparent touch glass keyboard. I was very interested in seeing how such a product would work and whether or not I could make use of it. I had a few ideas about how to use a touch trackpad, specifically as part of my photo editing and digital drawing workflow (though keep in mind I'm an amateur at both), Bastron also offers a trackpad, but I decided having the added function of a keyboard could save me some space when working on my desk by being able to hide away my very large mechanical gaming keyboard while doing lighter work that didn't involve a lot of typing. Right off the bat I was incredibly impressed with the quality of the packaging. The box and interior packaging is absolutely gorgeous, really fitting for a higher quality product such as this. You can check out the images I've posted to get a closer look, but in short it's gift-quality and absolutely stunning. Inside you get a gesture guide for both Mac and PC, a cleaning cloth, the keyboard itself, and a micro-usb cable. The product itself is no slouch either - the glass and metal keyboard is beautiful in person, and when you plug it in there's a very pleasing cool blue light that illuminates the keys. At first I thought it was a little dim for a brightly lit room, but as soon as you touch the glass the light gets brighter for a second or two so you can see better. Here's the big question though, does it type well? I have to be honest and say there's quite a learning curve here. I grew up as a touch typist and I'm incredibly used to not looking at my fingers when I type. To be frank, this is almost impossible with the glass keyboard, just as it would be with a phone's touch screen keyboard. You need to look where you're typing and you need to pay attention to the specific layout of the keyboard in order to type properly. The glass itself is also very sensitive. It supports multitouch so if you as much as brush a finger against a key while typing, it'll register that keypress and you'll find yourself with a typo. I don't see any easy way of reducing this from a software standpoint, so I guess you have to take it as part of the function of the keyboard itself. Moving on to the touchpad and gestures: They are very nice, but not perfect. This being glass, it can be hard to glide your finger smoothly across it. More often than not you get sort of micro-jittering as a result of your finger doing the same thing against the glass. As your fingers leave a small amount of oil on the keyboard, this is mitigated somewhat, but every time you clean the glass you'll wind up with that micro-stuttering again. It's enough to notice, but I'd say it's not enough to detract significantly from the experience. On Windows 10, the gestures are nice, but not perfect (again). Two, three, and four-finger gestures work well, but they can be finicky at times. For example, trying to use pinch-to-zoom can be an exercise on its own. It's not as simple as doing so on a phone, and I found that often it was too sensitive for my taste. If you need this for any sort of precision zooming, it's probably better to use a mouse. Ultimately, I found that this is not a great keyboard if you do a ton of typing (as expected), but if you just need it for lightweight computer use and want something that looks better than your typical plastic mold mushy keyboards, this isn't a bad choice. It's also great in that you can use it both as a keyboard and a trackpad in one, a great solution if space is at a premium where you plan to set this up. Personally I can't shake the odd feeling when using it, so I've had to take off a star for the several things I listed here that were "good but not perfect." Note: I received this product at a discount in exchange for an honest review.

Cool piece of technology
Cool piece of technology, but would like to throw it at their QA department's faces ( if they have a QA department) , because when I was wiping down the glass surface with a Clorox disinfecting wipe the LED lights stopped working. I suppose they did say it is water proof but didn't say anything about it NOT being Clorox proof. But the keyboard still functions and gestures still work and so I can see the keys I taped a sheet of Black construction paper underneath to make keys visible. The only real problem I have is that they didn't do proper QA testing on their own product before release and even if they did, they provided no written warning to not use chemical cleaning wipes. 3 stars for a functional glass keyboard (plus 2 stars, if the LED lights continued functioning)

To the guy above me that gave it 1 star because "no mechanical keys"......no S%#@ sherlock....it is a glass keyboard and you can clearly see that it has no mechanical keys. If you want mechanical keys, then just buy a normal keyboard. However it is unfair to rate it one star because of no mechanical keys, why did you buy it if you wanted mechanical keys.
