Please make this for the Airpod Pro 3's!! Had this case from the 1st generation of Airpod Pro's and it has outlasted 4 different pairs of Airpods. This case was worth every single penny. It's probably more protection than you'll ever need if you're an average person like me. It survived a couple months of rough abuse hanging from my belt at a warehouse job I had. It was constantly getting smashed in between things and smacked against walls and equipment. It has been dropped countless times on hard concrete and asphalt. It has its surface scars, but it protected the Airpods very well. It's a well thought out design and feels high quality. The latch has never accidentally become undone. The plastic is thick and the hinge is not flimsy. If only the Airpods had the same durability!

There is simply no competition to this product. It is the single most practical, toughest, and easily highest quality case that exists for storing your Airpods Pro. The build quality is top notch, and the tolerances all around are extremely tight. The seals fit perfectly, there is no play in the hinge whatsoever, and the factory Airpods case slips right in and is held in place very firmly. No functionality is lost, you can charge through the case by opening the small silicone plug at the bottom, there is a rubber passthrough button to access the button on the Apple case, and a small waterproof window with which you can see the LED through. You can still pair the headphones with no problems in the case and save for a minor complaint it is a near perfect case. The single flaw with the design was to include a non-locking carabiner. Considering the cost of the case and the product it holds, it just seems irresponsible to me to clip that to anything that might be bouncing around without having a lock on it. Maybe it is rare for those gates to open, but I lost a hat clipped to a backpack with a non-locking carabiner once so I might be paranoid. Either way, the fix was simple, I just put a flat split ring on it and a #3 Nite-Ize slide lock, though I think a #2 might work as well (see attached photo). Minor complaint aside, this is the best product money can buy and I recommend it to everyone who is interested in an Airpods case. You didn't spare any expense on your headphones, so don't cheap out on protecting them.

This case is perfect for Gen1 and Gen2 AirPod Pros. I finally purchased mine after having on my Amazon list for two years, and I regret not buying it sooner. I’ve tried three other cases from various companies that were slightly more affordable, and they were “okay,” I suppose. But none checked all the boxes like this one does. Durability, versatility, longevity, accessibility, water-proof, cost, and amount of pocket space occupied are the main criteria that drove my searches. Although it’s twice as expensive as many of the other options you see listed out there, the benefits it provides are worth every single penny. More time and money was wasted trying to get by with cheaper (and highly inferior) products rather than investing in this one from the start. Plus, I finally feel confident that my $250 AirPods, which I use daily, are now fully protected. Peace of mind goes a long way. This Catalyst case fits AirPod Pros like an absolute glove. Not an OJ Simpson glove, mind you. They‘re nestled perfectly in this thing thanks to a silicone pouch within the hard casing, which not only acts to secure the Apple case from easily sliding out, but also protects against impacts and won’t scratch it up. No glue or adhesives required! The Apple case won’t fall out, even if turned upside down and jostled with the Catalyst case open. But it’s not so tight that it’s difficult to take out the Apple case at any point in (literally) three seconds. You can slide it right back into the Catalyst case in a fraction that time. The latching mechanism is great. Easy to open and even easier to close, which is exactly how it should be. I love that you can still see the front charge light, have access to the back reset button, can charge the AirPods wirelessly, or easily pull back the bottom gasket and plug in the charge cord directly; all without sacrificing the durability and protection the Catalyst case offers. My only concern is the carabiner/lanyard attachment point. It’s a natural stress point, so I’d prefer if it were made out of something more durable than polycarbonate. I don’t yet know if it will break easily. And, although I don’t intend to rely on it at all, I’d still feel more comfortable if made from a material with higher tensile strength. However, I can’t deduct marks over it at this moment because time will tell. Even with that one slight concern, this is overwhelmingly the best case I’ve ever seen. By far. The provided photos include items also carried commonly in pockets for size reference. And because they all match. Excelsior! **Update 11/27/23: This case is still going strong. The only issue I’ve had with it was with the carabiner I was originally concerned about. It didn’t break, so I’m not removing a star for it; I just had a hard time trusting it and ended up swapping it out with a $3 aluminum carabiner instead.

Phenomenal case, waterproof, durable, protects my airpod pros (gen 1) It has clear display of the light when charging and has a reset button built into case so you don’t have to take it out. The charging cables all fit the opening and it doesn’t hinder you being able to get a cable in there.

I purchased this case because I work in industrial settings and wanted the best protection for my AirPod Pros and I feel like I wasted my money. The case has a rubber gasket but it doesn’t seal tight. There’s tiny metal pieces that still get into the magnetic part of the case. After 15 months the plastic latch broke (as I’ve seen the same thing happen to many other reviewers), I contacted the company asking if they could just sell me the plastic latch which they responded with no. I wouldn’t waste my money on this case again.

I recently purchased the Catalyst Total Protection AirPods Pro 2nd Generation Case, and here are my thoughts. The case provides excellent protection, living up to its name in terms of build quality and durability. However, I did find the latch to be a bit challenging to open at first, which could be an area for improvement. Despite being on the pricier side, I believe it's worth every penny due to the high level of protection it offers. Overall, if you're looking for a reliable case that ensures the safety of your AirPods, this is a great choice.

So I bought the Green and Black version in 2025. However I’m not reviewing that version. This review will be based on the Matte Black version I purchased back in April 2021 for my Original AirPods Pro. Gen 1. As soon as this thing arrived I knew it was perfect. Drop resistant, waterproof, latched. Amazing. It got to the point where I was even referring to it as “the bunker” because this thing is nigh’ impenetrable. One thing I will say is swapping the carabiner for a Niteize S-biner with a Microlock was such a good idea. Since then they’ve been attached to every pair of trousers I own, with a belt loop. Unfortunately, things happen in life and “the bunker” has definitely taken a few licks (see the images) however I can tell you now I have no idea how people end up snapping the latch mechanism. Not a clue. The first thing I did when mine arrived was immediately start bending it back to loosen up the hinge. The latch still needs two hands to open but when it’s unlatched the bend is so much smoother. I highly recommend this product, and considering I’ve spent 50% of the price this product is meant to protect ON THIS PRODUCT, I think that counts for something. Injuries “the bunker” has sustained throughout 4 years of use: - The latch hinge is snapped and now exposed- has no affected the functionality of the hinge. - The seal has had its rubber perish a bit early around 3 years into ownership I reckon. - The silicone ring that holds the Carabiner has snapped - literally happened last month and is the reason I’m replacing. Like I said I wore these on my belt for 4 years. But don’t take my word for it! Take a look at the photos. See what you think.
