I am not a doctor, nor am I in any medical profession. In this review, I am simply sharing my honest opinion and personal results from taking these supplements. A friend of mine told me she started taking kelp and felt she had more energy and didn't feel as depressed and tired all the time. I did some reading up on kelp and I was like, hmmm, maybe I ought to try this. I was apprehensive about the arsenic in kelp, but further reading has me feeling that the levels are extremely low and going with a reputable company was recommended. This is why I chose this particular brand and bottle. Readings I found said the daily recommended intake of iodine should be 150 mcg per day. Several manufacturers sell higher mcg and I am just personally not comfortable with that. I have been taking the kelp supplement once a day for about 2-3 weeks now and I have to say I am happy! Why? Because I am not tired all the time anymore! At work, about halfway into my day, I would practically be falling asleep. I would feel so run down and just want to take a nap. I was drinking up to 2 cans of Mt Dew a day and that did absolutely nothing. When I told my co-worker how much better I felt taking the kelp, she said she noticed that the last few days I wasn't complaining and saying how tired I was. I am trying to be healthier overall, so I bought a fruit infusion water bottle so I could drink water without using flavored packets and am down to 1 soda a day. I am not saying that kelp is a super drug or anything, but it certainly has helped me with my energy levels, so it is very possible I did/do have an iodine deficiency. For the price, you get almost a years supply (200 tablets/365 days in a year), so that is very exciting too. To only spend approximately $18 a year (2 bottles) to feel better, is beyond worth it! They don't leave an after taste. They are larger tablets, so if you have trouble with swallowing pills, you may have to cut in half or something. Well, like I said, this is just my personal result with taking these supplements. If you have any serious medical issues or concerns, I definitely recommend talking with a doctor.
