Question 2

Does any liquid DISH soap work or do you have to use recommended brands?  I have never used 'method soap' so I do not know if it is hand or dish soap.  Thank you.

If you aren't adding water it will work as long as it is used multiple times a day.  It's when soap sits in the unit it starts to dry out and thicken causing the pump to clog or struggle to dispense.  It will eventually damage the pump motor.  As for  "Method"... It's a line of cleaning products are designed to be environmentally / pet friendly.  They have hand soaps both normal and foaming, soap for use to cleaning dishes (like dawn) laundry detergent, spray cleaner (like windex but has fragrance that doesn't smell like windex)  I like pink grapefruit (clean smelling without being obtrusive)  and other items.  Target is the local store I can normally find their items.

Question 3

What are the construction materials for all three of the major pieces, including the top, the front panel, and the rear soap container. In particular, please specify if the metal-looking parts on the bushed aluminum are true brushed aluminum or are another material with a brushed-aluminum look.

Plastic, the top is plated to look like metal. Since the part never gets touched other than to fill with soap it should last

Can you use foaming hand soap with this touch less dispenser?

one "squirt" of soap from a dispenser is plenty to say, wash your hands or a dish. if I can  buy a massive jug of liquid soap, dilute it 5 to 1 water to soap to make "foaming" soap, how exactly is that a gimmick? if anything it seems like a well-kept secret that the soap companies don't want you to know (that foaming soap is literally just diluted regular soap)
