Is the handle made of copper?

Yes, everything is made of copper... We don't use any alloys/liners with our products.Jeff D

Can I use them for hot drinks?

Some people do use them for coffee, hot chocolate and other hot drinks... However, we don't recommend it... Because of the high conductive qualities of copper (the reason why it chills drinks so well!) it can also cause the copper cups to become quite hot (even the handle). Therefore, we suggest you stick to cold drinks such as Moscow Mules and other cool summertime drinks :)We also advise our customers not to wash their copper mugs in the dishwasher (we include cleaning/care instructions in the welcome email)Hope this helps and please let us know if you have any other questions...Jeff D
