Difficult to decide if this is a religious guide to Evolution or a book about nutrition. It's a pity that so much time is spend on trying to convince on the religion of evolution instead of just explaining nutrition. I end up leaving out large parts of the book because of the evolution propaganda and indoctrination.

I've listened to many hours of Dr Paul's podcast - The Fundamental Health Podcast - and I'm well researched in both nutrition and the carnivore diet. But I'd been waiting keenly for this book to launch and it didn't disappoint! I really enjoyed the deep dive into plants and animal products and the comparisons between them. Paul has gone so deep into the research and is always careful to be partial and to point out when studies are a bit shaky, especially epidemiology studies which can be misleading. No bold statements or claims are made without due diligence on the research. This is information you can trust. Having already done a lot of research myself, the book went deeper into certain topics but also pulled everything together in 1 place. This answered all of my questions Despite being technical at times - which is needed - Paul also breaks things down into easy to understand concepts. As well as expanding my knowledge, I REALLY enjoyed the story telling, analogies and humour. Amazing book about the carnivore/ancestral diet for people who have no idea about nutrition right through to experts. This is the only resource you need.

Wow, just wow, this book is sensational, I started a Carnivore diet after coming across Paul on a Bulletproof Radio podcasts, many of my family and myself have autoimmune conditions. I had been using the bulletproof diet to try and treat my autoimmune issue with no resolve. After dropping the broccoli, spinach, cauliflower and cabbage, a few weeks later my psoriasis had greatly reduced. after a few months it was gone. And being a hard gainer with a small appetite the nutrient density of animal foods makes sense and makes eating much less work. Paul goes into great detail in his book and no matter what you are eating now this book is worth the read, he has done a great job laying out difficult topics in a way for everyone to understand. GET THIS BOOK, you will thank yourself.

Attention, le livre est bien 100% en anglais ! Ce que j'apprécie beaucoup : L'auteur est médecin psychiatre et il a obtenu un diplôme en nutrition aussi. Il est très pédagogue et très terre-à-terre. Il ne s'avance jamais sans preuves. Il justifie tous ses dires et bâtit ses hypothèses sur des études scientifiques (en ne confondant pas corrélation et causalité. Il n'aime pas du tout les études épidémiologiques mais préfère des études en double aveugle et des études interventionnelles laissant les causes apparaître clairement). C'est parfois très technique mais l'effort de vulgarisation est bien là. C'est franchement bien écrit et structuré. Je suis bluffé, j'ai appris plein de choses et mes croyances sont franchement ébranlées. J'ai d'ailleurs décidé d'essayer.

When I discovered MD Paul Saladino a year ago and started listening to his podcasts I fell directly in love with his deep knowledge of biochemistry and his engaging enthusiasm for the carnivore diet as the optimal path to health. In his book, he covers absolute everything about the subject. From our ancestral origins, evolution, about plant toxins, autoimmunity and why meat is the most bioavailable nutrition for our body even going into the depth of sustainability. He makes a clear case of why meat can save the planet and not agriculture. If you love to challenge your mind and love science this book is for you! I love it big time! His podcasts are a blast...If you have issues with your health go and check them out. Cheers Eckhardt

This is good read from which I gained much reassurance about my dietary journey. It is so replete that it even dicusses the environmental impacts of eating carnivorously and given the number of great plains migratory herds that white men intentionally culled to almost oblivion the book probably understates the status-quo of methane produced by ruminants. For the uninitiated the discussion of carbon sequestration is brief but sound. It is full of well reasoned discussions in favour of the carnivore diet from a historical (evolutionary) perspective as well as a medical srandpoint that are well stated and logical. The book is well referenced and presents a complex set of matters in a very logical manner that have been well considered by Dr Saladino. I gained much to support my already strongly Science Based views.
