Can this be used on the passenger side windows? In other words, will it be an issue with the adhesive if someone were to roll the windows up and down?

I haven’t tried it , but I think it would get caught up in the window. It is a pouch, and I think the the window would go down ok but get mangled on the way up.

Can this be used vertically?

Thanks for your question. It could be used vertically to load from the side, however in time the plastic will loosen a bit from the weather and from inserting and removing cards. That could make it less than ideal since there is a greater potential of the card or pass slipping out from the side. I hope that helps. You would have to ask the manufacturer. I was a purchaser who bought one to put inside my vehicle.
