Is this extremely drying? i have hormonal acne from pcos.  wondering if anyone else has had any success with this for pcos.

I had hormonal acne @ the age of 35, that was so incredibly painful, & seemed to ‘travel’ around my face…. After using ProActiv for 2 weeks, my skin was like porcelain! It did dry out my skin a bit, until it balanced out, (it took about a month) so I did use a very light moisturizer if I needed it, but didn’t have to daily…. I am now 62, & still using ProActiv! My skin is luminous, & CLEAR, & we’ll hydrated…. & looks younger! Try this test…. Don’t use it for a week, & see how your skin feels…. You’ll go running back to use it, trust me….

Is this good at all? I see review of it being very small, also does it remove dark spots?

Dark spots no, you would want a product offering to even out skin tones which I don't know if proactive offers where others do. As far as this products quality and effectiveness.. my soon to be 15 year old daughter suffers from the traditional family inherited family acne that really kicks into high gear in the beginning of teen years. Skin tends to be more oily, Constant breakouts, red irritated little pimples all over forehead, both sides of chin area and both sides of the face between the eye and hairline area. Tried everything the doctors say intitally to try, the OTC lotions and face washes. Some made the already irritated areas much worse and some may have helped a tiny bit but not enough to help with the self esteem and emotional part that truly effects kids especially when there appearance can result in bullying ECT. I have 2 sisters that went through this when we were younger and I thank goodness rememberd that our mom found this product Proactive and decided to try it for them. After dermatologists, ECT and BAM it worked!! Now they both are adults with children of there own and no longer suffer from face acne. So I tried it for my now teen daughter and again BAM it worked. After about 3ish weeks completely clear of any and all acne, blemishes, irritations. KEY TO THIS PRODUCT IS:: must be CONSISTENT. Follow the exact daily/nightly schedule that it directs you to follow. Do not skip a night because your to tired... Or morning because your running late. It will just prolong the outcome your wanting CLEAR SKIN. Make sure to pay attention to when your running low on product. Put in the new order and don't wait until your out and skin is clear thinking "Maybe just maybe I don't need it anymore". NO!!!!! within 1-2 weeks you will regret it when it comes back with a vengeance. Don't vear from the Proactive product line you find works for you when they come out with a new kit. Stick with what works for you. I recommend the 60 day full original kit to start. I tried to switch my daughter to the newer line after she had been using the original and the effectiveness of the product was not as productive at first. It took a little longer for it to begin to show it was working and she didn't like that.

So:: full product kit, consistency is key, reorder when getting low so you don't miss even 1 day.

I hope this helps anyone questioning this product and it's abilities to help with acne.

How fast are the results?

This stuff is amazing! It’s been about 3 years now since I first started using proactiv. I had spent a lot of my money on products that weren’t working super expensive ones too that only gave me more severe acne. I gave into this and started seeing results within just a couple of weeks. I had cystic acne on my cheeks. I haven’t had severe breakouts since I started my proactiv journey. Now I just get hormonal breakouts or stress breakouts and always have some on hand in case of this. My acne is gone within just a few days.
