Too bulky for any glass and doesn’t stay in shape after freezing.

THESE ARE FANTASTIC! I live in an apartment w a small frig-no icemaker and am ALWAYS drinking water and iced tea. I tried the reusable cubes and they just dont keep drinks cold enuf. Si, I tried these. I LOVE THEM! HAVING A COVER IS WONDERFUL! YOU CAN STACK THEM EASILY AND THEY DON'T PICK UP ODORS FROM LEFTOVERS!!! It's SOOO easy to remove from the tray, no waiting or anything!!! Just push up frkm the bottom and it pops right up, and you take it from top and gently pull it out with one hand and take it out with the other. Due to the size of the cubes, you either need to use rocks glasses, or maskn jars; or you could crush it and use it later. Very very happy with this purchase and I highly recommend.

I had purchased several silicone ice trays off Amazon, all which ended up leaving a oily film in our drinks. I had read somewhere that if you bend the silicone and it turns white, it’s inferior. Needles to say, these trays did that! So I went on a search for better quality craft ice trays, since we really love the larger ice. We found the best trays in Peak!!! Yes, they are more expensive, but the quality is unmatched! I bought 4 of the 4 cube trays. They do not leave a film in your drinks, they are super easy to fill and place into the freezer due to a firm support frame built in (no more flimsy trays spilling as you walk to the freezer!), they are the EASIEST trays we have bought to remove ice from! Each ice cube has its own separate compartment that easily turns inside out to remove each individual ice cube. You don’t know how brilliant that is until you have tried all of the others that do not do that, and you have had to force each cube out of the container! This feature also helps the ice to freeze more quickly, since each individual cube pocket has all its sides exposed to the freezer air. * Clap * Clap * Clap * Well done! Best trays ever!!!

I've been freezing cooked sweet potatoes in regular ice-cube trays. It was a pain in the neck filling all those small compartments. Then, after they had frozen, I had to pry them out with a paring knife (which broke in the process) and carefully peel the resulting plastic shavings off the frozen cubes before transfering them to a storage container. I was uncomfortable with the chemicals in those trays being in such close contact with my food, plus I was looking for larger compartments and easier extraction. I'm happy to report that these new trays solved all three of those issues: European-grade food-safe material, generously sized compartments, AND the mashed sweet potatoes pop out like a charm even when the compartments are only partially filled. It was actually FUN getting the cubes out! This took about 2 seconds per cube and barely any effort. I thought about simply storing the puree in the trays in the freezer but decided I'd need them available for making more. I think it would be easy to wrap the trays and their lids in foil or a freezer bag to seal them against freezer burn, but I haven't tried that yet. The only negative for me with this product was that the trays had a strong chemical odor when they arrived. I washed them in soapy water, soaked them overnight in more of the same, and then still needed to put them outside to air for a week. Now they're fine. The rigid frame is great, BTW. You don't need it for solid food, but having it will encourage me to experiment with freezing liquids in the trays, too.

Peak's products are all high-quality so this didn't disappoint. The border frame is slightly thicker so the water doesn't spill out easily when you fill it up and want to put in the freezer
