CeraVe Moisturizing Cream for Dry Skin Relief, 12 Ounce, Fragrance Free Cream with Pramoxine for Itch Relief

I have chemo rash all down my left leg. A new symptom to add to the list of my Carbo-Taxol regime! I was prescribed Clobetasol, a steroid ointment, to treat. It definitely improved the angry red splotches, but did nothing for the itch. So then, I moved on to my pre-meds. I take 10 (TEN!) steroids a day leading up to treatment because I am allergic to the Carbo and went into anaphylacic shock on my first infusion. Anyway! I thought that would help. Nope. Nothing stopped the itch. I bought this. IMMEDIATE RELIEF. No irritation. And for the price, the container is HUGE. You know when you itch, you'd probably spend anything to make it go away, so I didn't even read the size and was so delighted to see this massive 12oz tub arrive at my house. I'm so grateful the itching has stopped and I can sleep again!

So i got this for my daughter after trying the lotion version of this (pictured) she has eczema thats also allergy related so she breaks out horribly this is much thicker and a bit harder to spread than the lotion but when u just come out of the shower don’t fully dry off if your a bit wet it goes on so smooth (reapplication is smooth also) this actually keeps her skin hydrated and not flaky whatever they put in there to make u stop itching 10 out of 10 works great and fast i must say we use it twice a day after bath time and before school and her skin hasn’t been this smooth without steroids in a while the more we use it the better her skin has become i did skip a few days and noticed her skin very dry and itchy/flaky again also does have a slight cooling effect not sticky whatsoever and the price for this size (12oz) is way better than in any store 10/10 even to use for bug bites the itching goes right away MUST HAVE

This is the only cream that stopped the itch and allowed me to sleep at night. It really works. I bought it for a skin reaction that gave me eczema and hives.

This won't be a "cure-all" for all that causes you to itch or break out in a rash. Definitely not. But, for the hot weather, humidity-perspiration-induced issues, it will likely help. I use it on both wrists (allow it to dry--which is pretty fast) to decrease the rash that comes with wearing my Apple watch or Fitbit (yeah, I'm wearing both as part of a short comparison study). If you are itching all over, this may not be a complete solution , but the active ingredient (Pramoxine Hydrochloride) in this product does seem to help topically to reduce itching and mild discomfort. It may not help with more extensive issues, but that's what keeps Dermatologists in business. (!) A bit pricey, but it comes in a large jar that lasts.

My kid has the worst case of eczema his derm has ever seen or even heard of. It gets BAD. He was also diagnosed ASD so he has sensory issues and doesn’t like how a lot of things feel and often itches making things difficult. I have tried every brand available and approved by the eczema association to help him, but We now only will use this cream because it also 100% relieves his itching. he prefers this over any other topical moisturizer in between his medicine and injections. Just using this alone, there has been visible and drastic improvements. Especially when he was between treatments and had to go off one to be on another. It might not make it go into remission, might not be clinical strength, but it will help soothe it significantly and moisturize it as well.

This review is for the cream in the tub version, not the lotion. This has a similar thick consistency to the Body Shop’s body butters. It works for mosquito bites and itchy irritated skin due to other reasons. It has a topical analgesic which starts working within minutes and the effect lasts for 6-8 hours. Clean the area first with soap and water, dry it and apply this liberally. Then leave it alone. Don’t touch it, certainly don’t itch it. I always get giant bumps, mostly on my legs and upper arms, due to mosquito bites and they itch for days. Days! Then they don’t heal properly since I can’t keep myself from itching. It’s not a fun experience. Those pesky little things bite through pants and shirts. I use bug repellents but they’re not always 100% effective. Since I also like outdoors, this seems like the perfect solution. Just don’t stop using a repellent in the first place to prevent it from happening. If you still get bitten or if you have eczema, this cream works great.

This cream is thick and luscious and works really well for kids and adults alike
