Excellent golf aid with consistent training!
I was really struggling with my putting this golf season. Standing over a 2-4 foot putt with fear of pushing and pulling the putt makes golf much less enjoyable. I knew I needed to develop muscle memory and build my confidence with repetitive motion. This putting mat is fantastic! The alignment lines help to keep the putter face square at address and impact and it promotes a smooth backstroke and follow thru. You can focus on the path of your swing and not where the ball goes. The slight uphill finish to the hole helps develop proper speed so my longer putts rarely miss short on the course. The ball return works fine. It is a more realistic speed when placed on a wood/tile floor or other hard surface. A nice tip to use...mark a vertical line on your ball and after making impact on the 7' putt length, watch to make sure the line is rolling end over end and not wobbling or moving to the side. This will show you if you have struck the ball properly and on line. When you see that happen consistently on the course, you know you have improved your stroke. I am rolling in putts of all lengths now on the golf course since practicing with this. My lag putts are usually within 3-4 feet, putts 10-20 feet are going in or just barely missing (rarely short) and my 3-6 footers are going in over 80% of the time. I would highly recommend this product. It is cheaper than a one-hour putting lesson.

Nice product for indoor practice
I received the putting mat today and quickly opened the box and set it up. A couple of notes. First, the mat was well protected in the Amazon double-box. The manufacturer's box, inside the Amazon box was in perfect condition. Second, the mat rolled out on my floor with none of the lumps and wrinkles noted in some other reviews. It may be that other orders were in the cold of winter, but with our 90+ daily temperatures, the mat came out of the box very pliable. I ran a hand over the mat once placed on the floor and found no lumps. So, how does it work? The description said it would roll at around a 10 stimp. It seems to do just that. It is definitely not a slow surface. The silk screened markings on the mat are fairly crisp, but more importantly, the instructions note how to take advantage of them in practice--back swing then follow through. I tried their suggestion and it seemed to work very well. I had low expectation for the "automatic" ball return. It is a non-electric gravity feed system. To my surprise, it had returned every one of the first 25 or so balls I've putted. Neat feature. The rise at the cup is intended to teach you to putt with enough authority to get the ball past the hole--it works. A wimpy putt rolls up the slope then back to your feet. A well struck putt stays on line and drops nicely. After only a few hours, I'm convinced that I can learn something from this device. Mostly, how to get the ball to the cup. One tip I quickly picked up was that if I used the markings on the mat which show how far to take the back stroke and how far to follow through, I made a stroke with a longer follow through than back stroke and the ball rolled much better. Practice of this technique will definitely improve my putting. I suspect that practice may become boring after a while. I wish that the manufacturer had included some methods or suggestions to increase the challenge. Maybe an insert to reduce the hole size so you have to hit the center of the cup. Also, some suggestions for placing a magazine under one side (to create some breaking putts) would add to the usefulness of this mat. An extension (maybe five feet) that could be velcroed to the base mat would allow practice of longer putts would be a nice upgrade. For the price, it is an excellent practice device. The fact that you can use it in the comfort of your air conditioned home during the hot August days is a blessing. Bottom line: I like it, recommend it and would buy it again. If you are missing more than your share of 8 footers, give this a try. It may show you where you're going wrong.

Good tool; some poor quality parts; pricey.
I'm surprised at how many five star reviews this has. It's a decent item, but overpriced and relatively cheap quality. The tray is about as flimsy as it could be and started splitting out of the box. The tracks do the job and are simple enough to connect to each other, but the tab where they connect to the tray is flimsy and could easily break if you are not careful. That said, the felt is good, and the markings are helpful. I picked this up primarily four my girls (8 and 6) who are getting hooked on golf. It will work for them. For me, it's ok, though I may have returned it if they weren't champing at the bit. If the tray were even a little more substantial, I'd give it another star. In my opinion, this should go for about $29.99. Unfortunately, there's just not a ton of great alternatives out there for $50 or less. That said, my girls haven't stopped playing with it since it arrived an hour ago, so that's something. :) We'll see how long it lasts. UPDATE: I'm bumping this from 3-stars to 4-stars. If I could give it 3.5 stars I would. I still think it is over-priced, and while I still wish the tray and track connectors were much more substantial, if you don't move the thing around much, it works well. We've kept it in one place since we set it up and it's been fine. One thing I do appreciate about it is that it allows you a true surface to groove a swing on . That is, you can work on your grip, set-up, routine, etc. and know that the result you get is true--it's on you (assuming you've got it on a flat surface). So, I can patiently go through my routine and make the stroke and pretty soon I am sinking straight putts confidently and consistently. It's not a huge deal to make a flat, straight put, but it IS a big deal to have the same routine engrained over and over again while making that short, straight putt. Just don't be rough with the thing. : )

I ordered this for my dad as a father's day gift because I live out of country and needed something that could be shipped to him. He has recently become and avid golfer and loves his SKLZ putting mat. It arrived exactly when it said it was going to, which made me very happy. I'm glad that he is happy about it, small enough to fit in his apartment. I guess the only downfall would be that it is only a 7 foot putt; my dad jokes that he isn't going to know what to do if it's longer or shorter than 7 feet..

Los materiales son de buena calidad, el diseño es practico, solo le agregaria un estuche rigido para protegerlo pues la partedonde se regresan las pelotas se ve un tanto fragil.
