Really Great!
I've never written a review before but these are great. I suffer from both cold sores and blisters because I'm allergic to jalapeño and raw ginger. Normally I use abreva and deal with 7-10 days of sores scabs and ugliness and it always spreads because you can't eat from a straw all the time. Just only 3 days and it seems like it hasn't spread or turned into a full blister and I can see it's started to heal already. I did have difficulty the first time putting it on and it got worse when I had to peel it off but then I read up that it's best to take it off with water and just stretch the edges which really worked. Key is to leave it on as long as possible to mitigate the stickiness and change it less frequently(which I was changing every few hours and found it unnecessary) the last two days I just dressed it once daily. I also made a natural oil mix of lemon balm, tea tree, peppermint and lavender with a tiny bit of grape seed oil that I would put as a topical solution on my lip to air it out for an hour so that it would be dry to apply the patch on. Combo seems effective and I can't believe At day 3 it has subsided and there's no blister pain. The patches are good because it protects my lip from irritants like dampness, smoke, eating and drinking and salad dressings which I think is key to containing the sores. Awesome product and I just bought another pack and also am going to try that other brand compeed to see the differences

They work well.
These work well. They hurt taking them off . But they do the trick. Keep them on for a few hours and remove . Keep in mind . Everyone is different. What works for one , may not work for someone else.

Product doesn't work, no relief and didnt stick
not what I was expecting, I should've read more about these. It says use with lip gloss/stick/chapstick didnt work for me. Tried over and under the bandage, but would just slip off. Which means you can't put medicine/topical creams on because then the bandage falls off. The bandage alone does not provide any relief what so ever. Basically this is just a clear dot band-aid

YES- BUY THEM. Great barrier & absorption
For a normal size cold sore along the lip line or other dry surface, these are Ana amazing. To the point where i got to slip the scaly yellow phase bc it was so good at absorbing the viral secretions. On cold sores inside the lip or on a moist membrane- of course not as good, but still can be attached to a dry area or layered with two to provide some coverage. It was important to me to cover to protect my baby. In summary, if you are looking for function (absorption, a barrier) this is a good product. If you are looking for cosmetic coverage or a thinner product to apply makeup over, try the Compeed brand- they are larger, but thinner and less absorbent.

Great product for price ($8)
Since noon this is my third adhesive, and I finally got it down. The trick it to apply to lip first, and then bend your lip over your teeth and fold the other half of the circular adhesive down. Otherwise the bandage isn’t taunt enough and will bubble around the edges. Lips must be dry with no other product on. They actually seem to be doing a better job than abreva, in size and redness reduction. That must be partly because fever blisters love oxygen. I’ve yet to receive the Compeed brand so I have nothing to compare it to except price. (Compeed being more expensive and not two day Prime shipping) These work just fine. When makeup is applied it’s slightly noticeable, but you should be grateful a blister isn’t the thing you notice. People have commented and complained about the color, and to me the opaque color hides the redness moreso than a clear or nude color. To remove, Let it come up naturally, and don’t pull it off if you apply it wrong, just deal with it for an hour and it will start to rise on its own, enabling you to tug along the edges and not messing with the blister itself. One of my concerns was a commenter who said that it was a waste of money and that it made her bleed...I didn’t want to start back at stage one with this thing and prolong healing even more, but I’m glad I bought these. They’re pretty cool, if applied with common sense. However, I’m pretty sure 12 applications will go quickly. If you’re concerned about that buy two just packs in case. Two is still cheaper than one applicant of abreva or lysine.
