Are these pickups passive or active

The EMG T pickups are active. The 9 volt battery fits underneath the control plate (with the switch and volume/tone knobs).

Is it possible to hook a S-1 switch up to this? I don't thing it will be needed however it would be interesting to hook up two emgs to a series wiring

No, it will void any warranty and EMG has truly mastered the active pickup, I know some wanna Frankenstein things but this isn’t one of those your gonna want to mod.

Does this include a solderlesss input jack? if not, does emg offer something like that that fits this set?

Yes, the kit included everything you need to install the pickups. The only tool I needed, other than a Phillips screwdriver, was a drill to widen the wiring channel from the pickup cavity (the solderless connector was a bit wide for it).

Will I still have to solder the bridge ground wire?

No ground wire required with this system.
