A definite read for everyone

Powerful, easy to follow and so many treasures on every page. Very inspiring, day to day experiences, stories and inspiring quotes. Insightful book.

Being Native in recovery I had heard of this book. In August I heard Don speak at an opioid conference in my state. Powerful speaker. I couldn't get enough, so I watched him in YouTube, found out he would be speaking out at another conference in a few days in my state. I hurried signed up to hear him again. Now I'm going to the Wellbreity conference in January. Thank you Creator for not only Don, huge thank you for me to pick up a paper see he was coming again and opening up all obstacles for me to see him again. Never before had I been in a session with someone that opened that historical trauma wound to allow me to cry not once but twice. He walked us through the history of the trauma like no one had. We as Natives know the history, we got to see and feel it and cry. It was just as powerful for other races also. Thank you Creator for choosing Don cause he's really doing what you called him to do. Thank you also for choosing me to fight many battles, I know my calling, I'm not totally breaking out to do it on a scale that I should.

This is a wonderful book on the Native American recovery. While there are some differences from the 12 step method it does mention and works well with the 12 step program.
