Maharaja Musicals Harmonium , In USA, 9 Stops, 3 1/2 Octave, Double Reed, Coupler, Natural Color, Standard, Padded Bag, A440 Tuned, Instrument Indian Sangeeta (PDI-ABG)

I purchased this from Amazon and the delivery time was excellent. The harmonium arrived with a few days and was well packaged. It sounds excellent and plays well. Firstly, the minor problem - it clearly states on the Amazon page "WE PAY CUSTOMS DUTY FOR UK BUYERS" but a few days later I received a customs bill for £24. Happily, the seller agreed to refund this amount. The major problem is that at the top of the Amazon page in very large letter it states that the harmonium is "Tuned to A440". This simply isn't true. It is A445 (the Indian standard). This means that if you wish to play the harmonium with any other standard instruments it will sound seriously out of tune. Unfortunately, there seems to be no easy way to tune a harmonium once it has been manufactured. The only reason I bought this was to play in a band with other fixed pitch instruments (flute etc.) so it's not much use to me. Not sure if this counts as mis-selling but am happy to give the seller a chance to rectify the situation.

Dieser Kauf war nicht perfekt, warum gebe ich trotzdem 5 Sterne? Das Intrument von Brass-India, bei Amazon.de bestellt, sollte kommen, wie beschrieben von: "SHIPPED FROM AMAZON UK's WAREHOUSE". Die Lieferung kam direkt aus Indien, also zum Zoll und Abholung dort. Brass-India hat sich entschuldigt und mir Zoll und Steuern anstandslos erstattet. Dann gab es einige weitere Kleinigkeiten. Holzfarbe kam dunkelbraun, obwohl beschrieben mit "natur" und auf den Bildern auch in hell zu sehen. Der Schlüssel für das kleine Schloss im Deckel nicht dabei, ... 2x Mails hin und her und Brass-India hat zusätzlich einen angemessenen Teil des Kaufpreises erstattet. Ich kann mit den optischen Kleinigkeiten leben und bewerte das faire Geschäftsverhalten höher. Der Klang des Gerätes ist toll, pumpen geht leicht, Luft hält gut und die Töne kommen direkt. Angemessen für ein preiswertes Instrument, mit dem ich zufrieden bin.

It is a nice harmonium, it comes with a useful manual and a practical bag well packed in styrofoam and cardboard. Delivery time was quite long, but it was worth the wait. I'm a beginner and I'm learning. so it suits me very well.

I am writing this so you know your keys get stuck and needs to be first played and or tuned properly before you send out to the customer to at least make sure they are free to move. Too bad you don't have repair serviced in Canada to fix it

I purchased this harmonium as I want to start practicing. I purchased where description says its new one. I have read some of the review so I was very skeptical on Quality. I opened it and was extremely disappointed. The front side screw came out the holding wooden stripe was loose as screw has fallen somewhere. The quality of sound is poor. Its definately not adjusted to A440. I am really disappointed and I am returning it immediately . I am 100% confident that this is not new one and return by someone. (the box is having lot of labels , Typically that never happen on new piece) Amazon --> Please check your sellers before you allow them to sell on Amazon. Extremely poor Harmonium Update : The items was returned immediately and received by Amazon on 09/29 and still no refund from Amazon.
