The specs say the dimensions are 21x17 inches. How big is it really? (ie, how big is the diameter?)

Can i make 6 inch circles for party hats with this?

The closest you can come to a 6 inch circle with this is 5-5/8 inches if you trace the outer edge of the circle maker: I just now measured the diameter of it. I originally bought it for the internal circle sizes and never checked to see if it actually made a 6 inch circle.

Not what i expected though.

It gets stuck from time to time, making it harder to create a perfect circle. the inner and outer part is a little bit loose, it sometimes slides sideways. would rather use a proper compass or other fixed circle template.
