I purchased this as a kindle book but my son is disappointed due to the content images are black and white. A main feature in Scratch is that the code blocks are a certain color for the group of functions. This is a real issue to have the e-book in black and white.

Too many words, like a novel

I’ve been looking for a book like this for years! I teach coding to 3rd-5th graders and I got this book to use with my students. The project guides are easier and more intuitive than the tutorials that Scratch provides on their website. The ten projects in the book cover everything in our coding curriculum. They are easy enough for a kid to look through independently but also a great quick reference for an adult to answer student’s questions. It’s written in kid-friendly language with an internet safe mindset, so it would also be perfect as a self-guided learning tool outside of the classroom as well.
