Man I've been buying this product from Amazon for about 2 years because Maytag suggested to find it here and I was cool with it. It is a really great product. A couple of days ago, I went into Lowes to get something and stubbled across the same product and it was $8.49. I was shocked, so shocked i came home, grabbed the original bag i saved and took it to Lowes. It sure as hell was the same thing, only difference is it was a 40lb bag in Lowes and not the 50 lb bag the company left for me. I just could not believe Lowes had a 40lb bag for about $30 cheaper. We use Diamond Crystal Salt in our water softener and it is working just fine. We see the salt has no pellet coverage and there is no debris in the tank.

I know the ratings on value and taste aren't great, it's salt, had to order it online because the shop that carried it locally stopped. So with shipping it was much more pricey than I used to pay. But our plumber swears by them and doesn't recommend any other salt crystals. As for flavor...well....salty :)

Over priced considering you can pick up bags at Home Depot. Product works great to determine how many gallons my koi pond is.

Great product

Expensive, $20.00 for one bag. I thought it was two for twenty, but I only received one bag. The salt runs about 7.00 to 8.00, but I paid 20.00. No more salt from Amazon.
