I would guess that this unit was designed and built by people who would us it themselves ! It is really well made and easy to assemble. I am a 5ft 8in (173cm) male and it would still be fine for someone much taller to use - such is its range of adjustability. I am an IT homeworker and I have 2 laptops plus 2 screens on this and it works fine. You can raise and lower it in seconds to suit when you feel like standing or sitting - I adjust mine several times a day.

The desk width need to be increased as the screen to eye distance is not sufficient once the LCDs are placed on the desk. Or the eye to screen distance can be improved by making the keyboard plate movable. The typing on keyboard induces significant stress on the wrists making it difficult to use the desk in standing position for more than 30 minutes at a time. If the keyboard plate could move up and down as well, the problem can be solved. Hopefully the manufacturer would consider these points in mind in the next version of the desk.

These are used by my teams at work and they all think they're great. Easy to assemble and easy to raise and collapse back down again. Great!

I researched for more than 2 weeks before buying the Rise-X Pro. It went out of stock after I decided. Waited for a few more days and voila, been using it for a couple of days now and I love everything about Rise-X Pro. There are not a lot of options under C$ 200K that's 37" wide (Keyboard tray is 37" wide too - works best for my bulky ergonomic keyboard) and has low sit desk mode 4.2" which was essential for me since one of my monitors is not height adjustable. At full height, it's perfect for me. I'm 5' 11" and I stand on a 1" memory foam mat. I use 2x24" monitors that fit perfectly. 2x27" monitors would fit on the table but the sides would be way outside the table. At full height, the monitors shake a bit when I'm typing fast. But that's something I can live with. At sitting position as well, the height is perfect for me. As you can see from the photo, I also have a laptop dock and laptop which weighs 5 kgs more and it takes all the weight effortlessly although Hydraulic is not strong enough for this weight. I have to use a lot of effort to bring the table all the way up. Again, not something everyone would face. Overall, this is a savior for my back pain issue and would definitely recommend the Rise-X Pro.

I'm going to start by saying I'm coming from a full sized Varidesk at my previous job. That thing was heavy and opened up towards me, but was built really well. It was also over $400. I purchased this because it was a 1/3 of that price and seemed to have good reviews. So here are my thoughts on day 1. Pros: Easy to set up, a few screws and cut a zip tie and it's ready to use. It's sturdy enough. I have monitor arms on it now with 2 decent sized monitors and it doesn't wobble very much (it does a little). I like that it goes straight up and doesn't depend on heavy weights at the bottom. Cons: It's a little smaller than I thought it would be, once I got all of my stuff hooked up. The keyboard holder would be fine for a standard keyboard, but I have a bigger one and would have liked that space to be a bit deeper. It has a hydraulic cylinder to help with lifting, but I definitely feel like I am lifting the entire weight of my monitors and laptop myself. Overall, I like it so far. If that changes in the next month or so I will come back an amend this review. For the money it's solid. Edit: Fixed a few typos and can confirm all of the above a few weeks later as well.
