Just got these, what is the little box for?

I don't know. I installed them without the little box and everything has been working just fine and as designed. Little box is in the garage just in case.

Are the metal clips included for mounting the light ?

I reused the ones I had. These lights are crazy bright You won't be disappointed!!!
