Better than factory well made
I use this unit on a 1968 Camaro 12 bolt rear end. It came complete well-made machine surfaces everything fit as designed. I used the factory Yukon additive. I have 6000 miles under the rear end with a 327 manual transmission and both tires spin when power applied no slippage. Going forward I would not look for a used GM unit and just use a Yukon much simpler. It is well built and works well. I did buy the wrong unit because they have three models for different gearing and it was an easy exchange. Great customer service.

Good Quality part for the money.
Replaced the open differential unit in my 99 Dodge Durango with this limited slip unit and it is an awesome upgrade! On the 9.25 Dodge differential replacement is simple I suggest using only "Timkin" bearings, good quality gear oil and limited slip additive. I used Lucas 85W 140 gear oil and their additive. The differential is working perfectly. While you have things apart it is a good time to inspect/replace the outer axle bearings and axle seals which are very easy to replace at that time as well.

AMAZING PRODUCT AND CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM THE COMPANY!
This is the second rear end we have had to replace in my 05 sierra with 400k miles, so far we have had no problems with it.. the company's customer service team was absolutely outstanding when i had trouble with my purchase of their $40 lifetime guarantee for this part. My card was saying I had been charged twice, but the gentleman made sure I wasn't and even shipped the card for the warranty next day for 100% free! then called me again to tell me he had the tech people check just to be sure. I cannot say enough good things about this company and the people working there! definitely would buy again if i didn't have the warranty for it!

so far so good, still good update!
Updated at bottom.. I didn't just randomly decide to upgrade...this was more a question of what to replace existing yet failing parts with. My 2000 dodge 1500 4x4 was making noises I didn't like... we popped the rear pumpkin and discovered the issue after noticing HUGE driveline rotational play. My differential spiders were definitely on the way out fast...and apparently decided to wallow out the carrier at the same time. Ok I need to get the best value for money spent....would prefer easy to install and while I can accept a higher noise level I would rather not most times. Yet if I could up the off road performance a bit that would be nice. So their went the lockers... more expensive more noise.... The cost difference between a replacement carrier and spider assembly and a LSD wasn't that much. The cost of a lunchbox locker and carrier made that and the mini spool and carrier fall off the table as well as sound and on road issues. So I chose this... as my ring and pinion were just fine.... we set the lash at 0.0055" play and lubed up the rear end with 80-90 conventional as required by yukon and the LSD additive. Over an open differential it's a big step up. Over a failing open differential it's a huge step up. Now my DD/hunting/fishing rig is more capable and for roughly $60 more than replacing the entire dif with an open one I got added traction. Thanks yukon. Approx 1 week later Still happy with it.... it makes a big difference in offroad and on road handling. Yes it opens when not under load but if hard cornering with heavy throttle on a slippery surface (hard packed dirt road....sandy tarmac) expect both rear wheels to break loose and a drift or powerslide to start. Not a bad thing and definitely improves throttle steering but it does change the handling and you should be aware of it. I do realize I drive harder and more confidently than many people especially offroad... and that most folks are just happy to get there they don't need to have fun while getting there quickly....but I do.

Good replacement for my truck
Installed in my 1997 chevrolet k1ear500 Silverado. So far 3 months in without noise or problems. Followed Yukon fluids recommendation and additive. Nice they provided the warnig for the side bearing requirements, since it is the only thing that is different from the bearing kit.

I got a great deal on this Yukon posi, it came down to 606. bucks black Friday, for my 1971 Chevy K10, it's a shame Yukon company wouldn't include the Yukon posi-track additive that is required, some guys might cheap out on the additive and burn up the clutches, SHAME ON YOU YUKON. I'll be installing it soon.
