This book has EVERYTHING!
Well, perhaps not everything, but pretty close! I keep this book in my sailboat for reference and reading when I'm there to relax or become a better sailor. It has so many pictures and diagrams which are so handy for this subject. Even if you don't have this in a boat, it's great for a coffee table centerpiece.

Great textbook
This is a textbook on sailing. If you want heavy details like you would expect in a university graduate level course textbook except about sailing, here it is. Lots of information - almost overwhelming amount of information. If you want a single source for all things sailing, this has to be a solid choice.

Easy to Read and Comprehensive
Great guide to sailing. It’s easy to read, and comprehensive. It can be used as a reference, but is also fun to just sit and read. Delivered promptly and in excellent condition.

Not a serious sailing book. More of a Pictionary type of thing.
I bought it for my husband who wants to take sailing lessons again. It’s more of a child’s book honestly. The way it is written and illustrated. It really would not be a great benefit to someone that’s learning to sail. It almost looks like a child’s picture dictionary. It’s beautiful. But if you want a serious sailing book. I’m not sure this is it.

Accessible, informative intro to sailing.
I am about 85 pages in and have found the book to be highly engaging. It has great pictures, a complete glossary, and it's presented in a logical order with appropriate progression. I have learned quite a bit that I probably should have before going afloat last summer, and can't wait to try out the new knowledge...fingers crossed for ready translation into skills!

Worth Every Penny – A Gorgeous & Practical Sailing Guide
DK’s The Complete Sailing book is an excellent, well-illustrated guide that covers everything from basics to advanced techniques. The pictures are beautiful, the hardcover edition feels high-quality, and the information inside is both inspiring and practical. I bought this with my own hard-earned money, and my review is based on my honest experience with it.

Good book. Not so good digital format
The book is a good manual. Not so good is that they include two pages on the Kindle screen, which makes the font too small. I am surprised the editor would have been happy with this. Get the printed copy of the book, not the digital version.
