Barkswell Hands Free Dog Lead - Running Lead with Waist Belt and Bungee Cord

I bought this as a means to train both of my Hungarian Vizsla boys to walk to heel. The D ring on each side means that I can attach one dog on each side of my waist, and then use one hand each to correct their pulling with gentle little flicks. Also leaves my hands free to squeeze liver paste out of a tube as a treat for getting it right. 3 days in to the new training regime and the boys are walking nicely with fewer reminders, and I am swearing less, have no shoulder pain and my lower back doesn't ache after each walk. Having your dog attached to your was it gives you extra grounding if he decides to pull, and this belt is more than strong enough to deal with both of my dogs pulling at the same time (a combined weight of over 50 kilos!) The lead has a good bungee element, which knocks some of the oomph out of any pulling, and the pouch is the perfect size for a roll of poo bags and loads of lovely treats. Cleverly, the pouch has two separate sections which means you can have dog stuff in one part and still have room for phone, wallet and keys in the other, without having to fish biscuit crumbs out of your phone charger socket each time... Obviously designed by a dog owner, with all of the right attention to detail. It's early days yet, but this does seem to be a robust piece of kit, well-made and cleverly designed and a bargain for the price, considering some of the other products on the market. I have a much bigger canicross belt, but the lead works perfectly with that too for attaching my second dog. All round, I am delighted with it.

The hands free lead is well made, my collie/lab has a very strong pull. The piece you place around the waist is made strong and sturdy, it has a long enough lead with sturdy clips to attach to the dog and your waist. It has to areas on the belt that you can attach the lead or take 2 dogs. The handy pockets are ideal for poop bags and treats. Would recommend

We use this lead for walks and find it really practical to be mostly hands free due to current medical issues with hands. The bungee lead works well with our dog and the waist belt is great. Unfortunately the zip on one of the belt pockets failed after a few weeks but I reported this to the supplier and the customer service response was immediate and the item replaced straight away which was really positive. I would definitely recommend the product.

Linda could not have been more helpful when I purchased this and her customer service was second to none. I was unsure which product to buy to meet all my needs but with her great advice I've ended up with a hands free dog belt with bungee lead that has been a revelation. The belt itself is strong, adjustable, doesn't become loose and is comfortable to wear. I'm a size 10 and it fits perfectly. It has two d rings, one on either side, so is perfect if you have two dogs and it also slides around your waist without catching if your dog changes direction. I use it in conjunction with a 10 m long line to give my wayward terrier a bit more freedom in the fields without her disappearing after something and I don't need to hold the lead all the time. The bungee takes the sting out of the jolt if she does spot something and takes off at speed. The bungee also has two sturdy clips (one at each end) so that makes it much easier to unclip and reclip to climb stiles or get through gates. There is also a reflective stitch running through it to make you more visible to road users in dull/dark conditions. I haven't used the bag that comes with the belt yet as I've had a coat on with pockets since buying it, but it does fit my moto g7 phone and will no doubt be useful in summer conditions when (hopefully!) the coat won't be needed. I'm using it twice a day every day and can honestly say it has made my previously stressful dog walks thoroughly enjoyable again. I wouldn't be without it now. Highly recommended.

Only used it once , but soo far good, made well.

Its actually nice strong quality. I think the belt is good and clips are strong. However I feel the lead is too short. I bought the two dog extension lead to attach to it so I have the option of making it longer or shorter. The downside is the same as other leads, the grab handles are in the wrong position. They are at both ends of the leads, one at the top and one right by the harness end. There needs to be one in the middle. I do find the handles uncomfortable and not easy to place a hand in quickly, and your advertising lable right on it is hard on the hand. It is nice quality but if you have a dog that pulls the lead is too short when attached to the body which makes it easier to be pulled over, so therefore for me personally I would like to find a lead which is 2 m long with grab handles in the middle.

Really really good product. I have a border collie who pulls like a train, the elastic part of the lead absorbs his sudden jolts to sniff / drink and allows me a short time to prepare haha. I’m a 32” waist & on the belts tightest I’d say I have an inch of ‘play’ which is perfect allows the belt to fully rotate round me as the dog moves. Would 100 percent recommend .

Io lo uso per andare in montagna su alcuni tratti di sentieri dove magari incrocio più cani, forse un filo più lungo sarebbe stato ancora più comodo.il mio cane è di taglia grande sui 40 kg, il guinzaglio e robusto e comodo.a volte lo uso anche attaccando un altro guinzaglio e l’ammortizzazione funziona comunque… Effettivamente lo consiglio.io lo uso solo in rare occasioni perché solitamente il mio cane sto sciolto libero, solo quando incontro altri cani maschi devo tenerlo per sicurezza dopo che è stato aggredito da un cane maschio, appena uno gli ringhia un po’ diventa una iena! 😸

super confortable pour la taille et réglage facile je ne met pas grand chose dans les poches car les gros objets sont gênants, mais très pratique pour les sacs plastiques ou friandises. acheté le 30 août 2022, nous sommes le 20/07/2024 et il est toujours aussi résitant. juste la longe élastique s'est légèrement détendue mais rien de méchant, les mousquetons ne sont pas cassés ni plié

Erstaunlich, wie hochwertig das ganze Set wirkt. Es ist sicherlich nicht das günstigste Set für 2 Hunde gewesen, aber die Qualität ist einwandfrei. Alle Nähte sind sauber ausgeführt, die Materialien sind hochwertig und die Hardware (Karabiner, Reißverschlüsse, D-Ringe) sind keinesfalls Billigteile. Die Taschen des auf den ersten Blick recht schmalen Hüftgurtes sind so geschnitten, dass sie sich ausdehnen können. Schlüssel, Kotbeutel und Leckerlis können gut verstaut werden und schlackern beim Laufen nicht rum. Die elastischen Seelen der Leinen federn ausreichend, sind aber nicht zu hart, dass es den Hund wegreißt, wenn er mal stehen bleibt und man selber weiter läuft. Ich finde das Gesamtpaket gut abgestimmt. Zudem kommt das ganze Paket in einem Nylonbeutel - so bleibt alles zusammen und da man ja sowieso immer zu viel von €em ganzen Hundezeugs hat, kann man immerhin vermeiden, dass sich das Set „trennt“ und man den Einzelteilen hinterher suchen muss. Top Produkt, völlig angemessener Preis! Hiermit macht man keinen Fehler, wenn man eine Leine für 2 Hunde sucht, mit der man Joggen gehen kann.
