For about £5, this simple, robust 4-in-1 memory card reader has allowed me to dust off and start using my old Canon 7D camera again with its CompactFlash card. The sturdy cable is 55cm, long enough to reach from my PC to my desk. Laptops and desktops don't include older tech like a CF slot these days, so I appreciate this reader's USB-A and USB-C connectors, and its ability to read and write not only CF, SD, and TF/MicroSD, but also my old Sony Memory Stick with a batch of my photos from 20 years ago. You can plug in multiple different types of memory cards at once, and they're all simultaneously recognised under Windows 11. My screenshot also shows a very respectable transfer rate over USB-C of about 60MBps from my CF card. It's a very good-value purchase in this ever-evolving world of tech progress, helping to prevent the complete obsolescence of perfectly good storage media from previous decades.

Really simple to use! Plugged in and it worked immediately. Other products like this that were ordered were not working and seemed to be a scam, but this item was legitimate and worked right away as soon as it was plugged in.

Works well but if you have your PC under desk and want the card reader on the desk, the cable could do with being longer. Doesn’t like being plugged into a mains powered USB-A hub and will continuously connect & disconnect every 30-45 seconds even with no memory cards inserted into it. I wanted to have one connected at all times but will have to just connect it up when needed to the top mounted I/O ports on my case rather than leave it double sided taped to the desk connected like I wanted to. Transfer speeds for JPG photo format is more than adequate enough but if moving larger video or RAW formats, then you would want a faster solution unless want to make a cup of Tea/Coffee whilst transfers are in progress. I would not want to work directly off any memory card plugged into this device as it would be too slow, but that is the drawback of such an item (even if connected up to USB-C). Does the job if don’t mind waiting for large transfers or need something that is portable for safe keeping when out of the house.

the product was delivered with no issues and was very lightweight and worked as intended but i was worried initially because the sandisk memory card didn’t fit into the sd slot but all i had to do was insert it into the ms slot instead. plug and play was smooth and straightforward from the camera to laptop then from laptop to phone. it was a fast process but took a while due to the size of the photos and videos. overall amazing.

No issues at all, works very well and a good price too

Came with a bent pin on the top left of the CF slot only noticeable if you looked closely. Not badly but enough to stop the card being inserted easily. Gently assisted the pin to realign. The socket for the CF seems to be slightly out of align with the pins, so extra care required inserting the card. As this was only bought to remove images from CF cards, haven't tried the rest. Transferring of files was fine. Just remember don't force the cards in if they don't go easily. Damage to CF cards can also damage what you place them into next.

I bought this card reader to replace and old one that failed to function after 9 years of frequent use. I thought I would be getting the same one, but they sent me this newer (also, a different brand) model, instead. So far, I have only used it to download the files from my SD cards to my PC, and through the USB "A". But works flawlessly.
