Yes it's a trout..bait. Chartreuse...is the hottest color... especially in murky water

could this work for carps?

We have a couple of grass carp in our trout pond and they never go after it so I would assume there is better bait for them.

Fair bait that holds up for at least 6 mths once opened

I generally do better with the rainbow or even green powerbait but its all good bait for trout. If you can get it on sale they that's the biggest thing to pay attention to when making your choice. I got this one sale and it was cheaper from Amazon then my local options.
