Men's Hand-Wind Mechanical Pocket Watch Vintage Steampunk Wood Grain Hollow Design with Chain and Box

This was a gift to my best to say thank you he really enjoyed it. Thank you so much for sharing this object. That is so beautiful. It's like a time piece.

Pro: This Steam Punk watch was a gift for my boyfriend and he is absolutely thrilled with the looks, build quality is solid, see-through movement both front and back. The gold glitters inside and out in both daylight and soft lighting. He has only had it for a week, but reports it's keeping excellent time. He takes great pleasure in winding it twice a day, about 10 turns each time, as was recommended by the seller. The watch has a wood look circular band that was not reddish as shown in the photo, but a deep dark wood color instead. That could be why someone returned it and it was sold "as new in original packaging" for a few dollars off. I'm always happy to save a few dollars! Con: None yet. I can't comment on the durability yet, but it's so beautiful that I think it's a great value. Personally, I would like to purchase it again if it's ever available with a battery option also. Recommended!

It was definitely smaller than anticipated, and the front clasp was definitely wobbly, like it didnt feel like it was screwed all the way on. However; i bought it as a gift for my boyfreind for valentines day and he loved it regardless. It looks very fancy, and for the price it was good.

Before I review this product I want to dispel an error that I noticed in the questions about this product. Someone stated that they were disappointed that the watch face had a mistake on it. The mistake being it uses iiii instead of iv to notate the "4" position on the face. This is not a mistake. Every watch face that I have seen or can think of uses iiii instead of iv. This is a tradition that goes back centuries. The reason for it is somewhat unclear but their seem to be 3 main ideas. 1) iv has not always represented 4. This is mainly a modern times notation. Why I don't know but some say they did not use IV since it had to do with the god Jupiter. 2) There's a story about King Louis XIV that says he insisted it should be the other way and made a clock maker change it. I find this hard to believe as this type of watch face existed before King Louis XIV. 3) Another common reason is that it's for aesthetics/symmetry. I am not sure what the real reason is but I do know that when it comes to Roman numeral watch faces, iiii is the correct way to mark "4". This watch DOES NOT have an error on its face. Regarding the review of the watch itself... This watch is surprisingly heavy and well built. The wood grain look is lighter than pictured but still very beautiful. The cut out in front and back add to the styling and seeing the inner workings is stunning. Retro is in right now. This pocket watch is definitely eye catching and unique. For the money, the quality is amazing.

sort of cheap looking would not buy again

This is my favorite watch esp of all the pocket watches I've had over the last 30 years, and the first one that actually keeps perfect time too! Love having a legitimate wind up watch and it's more durable than expected. Worth it!!,

Only lasts a few months before it begins losing time, then no longer keeps time at all. This is despite winding it less than the recommendation from the maker, and no rough handling. There simply seems to be no longevity to this product. Very disappointed. Edit 10/26/2025: the manufacturer reached out to me and offered to send a free item to replace the one I reviewed. Unfortunately this watch lasted barely as long as the first one I purchased. I can only reiterate my prior review; bad product, low quality, DO NOT BUY.

Beautiful watch, actually matches my wedding ring.

I hate that it's not actual wood how it looks and the fact that there's resin defects on it, so I had to sand and buff it myself. It's still nice and all but it took more hassle than I was hoping for.

J'ai l'impression d'être au XIXe siècle dans la vieille Europe et c'est exactement ce que je voulais. La montre se remonte mécaniquement chaque jour. Le fin mécanisme est visible. Elle fonctionne très bien et j'en suis extrêmement satisfait. J'adore les "vieux" chiffres romains qui indiquent les heures et l'ouverture sur le devant. Je pourrais presque y mettre la photo d'une bien-aimée. Amoureux du rétro, vous ne serez pas déçus.

Die Variante, die ich besitze ist (braun?) ziemlich dunkel. Das Zifferblatt ist auch recht dunkel gehalten. Bei Tageslicht ist dies kein Problem, doch schon zu einem Zeitpunkt mit schwindenden Licht, sehr schwierig zu sehen. Fazit: Solide Uhr, schweres Material, zuverlässig, doch zu dunkles Zifferblatt. Ich empfehle eine hellere Variante wählen.
