This pump is a workhorse!
Excellent product. Super quiet, very easy to install, perfect fit for my setup, very well made. It comes with a rubber base to absorb vibrations which makes it quieter than it already is. I’ve been using it daily for about a week now without any issues. My daily use is basically to water my garden which takers about 30 minutes of continuous use and supply a toilet and a sink that are off grid. Suction head of my setup is about 2 feet and the other end head is about 10 feet, no issues at all, pressure is great and the auto shut off works flawlessly. Mine is powered by a small battery bank of about 50amps that is connected to a wind generator so is completely off grid. If you want a quiet, powerful, easy to install, great quality 12 volts pump; look no further this is the one you need!!!

High quality, quiet, reliable
I use this pump as the main pump for a domestic water system at my off grid cabin. It's powered by a 12v battery that is charged by a solar panel, and it pulls water from a 100 gallon agricultural spray tank. It has plenty of flow and pressure for washing dishes or taking a shower, and it puts out fairly steady pressure for a diaphragm pump- I haven't needed to add a surge tank. It's mounted to one of the posts under the floor of the cabin and it's quiet enough to not really be very audible when running. It's survived several seasons of use without noticeable wear and tear. I drain it down every winter and remove the screen and have had no freeze damage. The water it pumps from the tank ranges in temperature from 45 degrees to 90 degrees depending on the season and it doesn't seem to make any difference to the pump.

Perfect OEM Replacement For RV
I am very happy with this pump, I recently replaced the factory installed pump in my Rockwood signature series RV. It’s significantly quieter than my stock pump, and provides excellent pressure for both bathroom and kitchen sinks. Beyond just the performance, it just looks, and feels like a much more quality item than what my RV came equipped with. I could tell that it was factory tested as there was a little bit of moisture inside the plastic bag it was shipped with, obviously they are manufacturing with quality control in mind. If you’re on the market for a replacement pump in your RV, I highly recommend you consider this one. It’s a great value for the price point and I’m very pleased with the performance.

Decent quiet RV pump. Questionable support.
As I write this I am waiting for the 3rd of these pumps to be delivered. The first that I installed August 2021 worked well for full time use in a 1995 Country Coach, replacing the original without issues. That one died in March 2025, with both a pressure leak and severe corrosion on the terminals that eventual separated entirely. I replaced with a new one, and unfortunately that one just died (April 2026) just beyond a year later (pressure leak again - the seals don't last). If you go to to submit any kind of warranty claim you will see that Seaflo wants you to jump through all kinds of ridiculous bs - like sending the pump back to them for inspection. Well, aint nobody got time for that and they know it. - They're not fooling anyone, but regardless when the pump works it works well enough and for just a tad over $50 it's not worth dealing with their hassle.

Just purchased and installed
We purchased our rig in October 2019 and it came with the Shurflo 4008-101-A65 which is common, we have had the trailer about 7 months. We rarely use the fresh water tank and are always connected to city water, two weeks ago, we heard water running and when we went out to look. There was water was coming out of the fresh water tank fill valve. We were connected to city water intake nothing should have been going into the fresh water tank. It was determined that the control valve inside the current pump had failed and we were given a couple suggestions from the dealership to try and get it to reset until we could bring it in for them to look at. Nothing fixed it and the water was flowing into the fresh water tank as if we were connected to the fresh water tank intake. We had a water regulator on the hose and the psi from the source was below what is recommended pressure wise for the water pump. And of course the regular maintenance suggested to maintain clean water lines had been done every time the inline filter was replaced. After some searching and research we found that this is a common problem with the shurflo water pumps.. We were definitely not impressed that a water pump failed 7 months after purchase. Now after talking with friends, and the dealership the SEAFLO 42-Series Water Pressure Diaphragm Pump w/Variable Flow For Reduced Cycling - 12V, 3.0GP was suggested as a great replacement option. Install was quick and easy, the water connections matched up perfectly with the old pump so no new plumbing or rerouting of pipes was needed. The wire connections were an easy swap out and within 30 minutes we were up and running again. I can not believe how quite this pump is, we barely hear it kick on, water flow from the pump is the same if not better than the old pump. Durability is something that will have to be determined after we have this pump for a while.

The quitest water pump we could find, its amazing!
I gave this pump 5 stars because I can't give it ten stars! If your looking for a extremely quite pump this is your pump. I tried 5 different pumps before I found this one and so glad I kept looking. We are using this pump with our offgrid soak tub and all the other pumps sounded like woodpeckers on crack when running. When this one is running we hear the water running through the LP on demand water heater more than the pump running. It may cost a few dollars more but its worth every penny!

DANGER! A product is only as good as it’s weakest attribute: in this case it’s pressure switch.
I don’t typically leave negative reviews, but this could literally be life or death for someone and I feel a responsibility to inform anyone who may be relying on this for potable water, or any situation where the products failure could be catastrophic. Sure it is quiet, inexpensive, good psi, boasting low flow capabilities and an impressive warranty (granted I still needed to install an accumulator tank because mine still cycles, and people have reported they don’t honor their warranty) - but the pressure switch on this has caused catastrophic issues for many people (just search YouTube); as far as draining freshwater tanks out at sea due to melting the plastic water joints (not to mention potentially starting a fire). Well, its not a myth. I’ve pumped maybe 100 gallons simply to test the water system I installed in my sprinter. Worked great, so I thought maybe those people had it in too humid environments for too long and that caused the issue (still shouldn’t happen on a water pump, but ok you get what you pay for). Well, brand new pump… Dry location… Still returnable to Amazon… It seemed to work fine so I took a trip (I’m still on the trip trying to get a new pump sent to me on my way). First night (last night), it started shorting out when it reached pressure, just as it has been cautioned in the videos I have watched. It shorts enough to make an electrical short crackling sound and make the lights in the van flicker while the pump rapidly cycles on and off, but not enough to trip the fuse. Plus it still pumps water… for now… As such, I can certainly understand how if this was out of observable range (acoustically or visually), and not tampering with sensitive lighting dimmers (different circuit, non-isolated, same power source), one would not necessarily know that it’s shorting out until it’s too late and has melted itself, and potentially the connected plumbing (which is how this has unknowingly drained freshwater tanks at sea)… Thankfully I’m still under Amazon’s return window (yes it’s that new), and they will honor the return, otherwise I’d have to deal with the seaflo warranty that they don’t seem to honor (read reviews of them delaying by months, or going MIA, or even going as far as just telling people to just bypass the pressure switch and keep the faulty unit). I decided to buy a higher quality pump for peace of mind. And I’m not even out at sea. But the possibility of a fire? Or suddenly draining the freshwater tank into my van? Perhaps while 5 days out into the desert? Nope. It’s a known issue and simple fix seaflo. You could literally be the cause of someone’s demise for not just fixing this issue. It’s not just inconvenient; it’s potentially someone’s life if they are weeks from land or way off grid. Buyer beware.

Perfect Swap
I have a 2016 Grand Design Imagine 2800BH travel trailer. The stock pump died a slow, miserable death so I ordered this seaflo not really knowing what I was doing, I just tried to make the numbers all line up between the two like the pressure and amps. I was happy when the seaflo came and I saw that side by side they were a match. I watched a couple of youtube videos and installation seemed pretty clear. Each fitting was an exact match so I was able to swap the pumps with no problems at all. No leaks. Perfect pressure. And best of all it's like, 10x's quieter than the stock pump. So far I am 10/10 happy with the purchase.

Abusing this pump and its still going
I work in a quarry and have this for dust suppression on a crusher, been using it the past month now it's dry and it's running 8-12hrs a day 5 days a week. Most it's pumped in 1 day is about 4k litres with the bypass and pressure screwed to the max. It's running 1-4 nozzles (2 sprinkler and 2 hand type. the sprinkler in the picture is giving more water than it looks as its windy and hard to see where its that fine a spray) depending on how dry it is and sucking water out of dusty ibcs. Not much else you can ask of it when the pump it's replaced was 7 grand. The spray from the hand type in the picture is with 3 nozzles turned on at once on a flat setting.

Great product
We have used this product for 1 1/2years at our off-grid home. The only time we’ve had a problem was with ‘low voltage’ causing the pump to run on.. this was easily fixed on our part. We have purchased a second Seaflo pump to use with outdoor operations spring to fall. This reasonably priced, quiet, reliable pump is a true winner! The customer service for this pump is also quick to reply.. very friendly and helpful.
