Multicolored 3-Mode Flashlight: Red, Green, Blue, UV & White LED Lights (Pack of 5)

This light may or may not be bright enough for you as it depends on what you are using it for. I use this red flashlight for walking on a trail at night with other people. We use red so as not to kill night vision. With a bright white light, your eye adapts to the lit-up spot where the flashlight hits the ground and then you can't see the dark areas off to the sides. But with a not-overbright red light, you can see all around you. I hold this light about below waist high in my hand aimed so the illuminated spot hits my feet and 6 ro 8 fet in front of me. So the light only has to reach between 2 and 8 feet. With the focus set to "wide" and just an Eneloop 1.2 volt rechargeable AA battery the light is just the right brightness in "high". But with a 3.7-volt battery I need to turn the light to "low" setting. I have not yet tested the burn time with a full battery but after a two-hour hike with white 1.2V 1900 mah battery, the light had not dimmed at all. About the color, the lens is clear and the color is made by the LED itself. I don't know the wavelength but the color is very saturated and seems to be the best shade of red for my purpose, I think they hit the color dead-on. As for build quality. It is better then one would expect for a $9 flashlight This is NOT the light you want if you want to see 50 yards in the distance at night. but is perfect if you want to avoid stepping in hoes or tripping over rocks while retaining to the ability to see the un-lit surrounding

This is one of the brightest blue LED colored flashlights I have ever used or owned. I haven't tried it out as a blood tracking light as of yet so I can't comment on that. What I can say that it is a nice, small size for pocket or purse carry and the zoom from flood to tight beam is very handy. Unlike white LED lights, this one doesn't blind you when you turn it on when you eyes are used to nighttime. For those of you thinking that it is a UV light, you will be disappointed. Those of you looking for a light that won't night blind you or for special effect uses for blue colored light, this is your answer. Since it uses an easy-to-find-anywhere AA battery it is cheap to keep it ready for use. It is also useful for detecting some day glow colored items. The unit itself seems to be well made and reliable. For the price, it will be hard to find a blue LED flashlight that works as well.

The light itself is 5 stars however, I'm giving it 4 stars based on the description. The description says 3 modes (high, low, & strobe) and a 14500 lithium battery or a AA. The Blue light that I received has one mode high and takes (2) CR2 batteries. I tried a brand new AA and the light didn't come on and the battery was loose in the cylinder. All of that being said, so far the light is working as well as expected. Flood and zoom are nice and the light is very bright and seems well made.

After learning that hunters have a use for them and doing a quick test on a passing bunny alongside a standard torch, I ordered another to send to my uncle for xmas. This purple one was bought a week ago as an upgrade to the battery sucking (and considerably dimmer) 8AA fluorescent I'd been using before for pet clean-up duty. My S.O. has now also put an order in for one after seeing it in action.

It works great

Bought this red flashlight for fishing at night. This is the first red flashlight that is easily bright enough for tying knots with thin tippet (fishing line) and the zoom feature puts the light right where I need it. Best of all, it doesn’t have any other colors so the light is always red and doesn’t spook the fish. Highly recommend this for hunting and fishing.

First of the quality of the product is great no doubt about it, solid construction, True Red LED, Really strong light, Superb optics, AA battery support. I just hope the switch will last, time will tell. I use it daily several times at night for short periods ... so why the three stars? I wish it would remember the light setting!!! Every time I have to switch it off I have to soft press the on/off switch twice so the next time I turn it on it will be at the desired setting. In my case I need it at low intensity, so to turn it off have to soft switch to annoying blinking, then high intensity and then off ... every-time!!

Great product, but not a good fit for what I intended to use it for. Purchased this to use in night flights. The Product works exactly as it should, but even the low setting is a little to bright for in cockpit use. It is perfect for the Pre-Flight inspection though, Nice Red light that does not hurt night vision, and bright enough to see the plane well. The Strobe mode is really a detriment though when trying to use. :(

Working outside at night this flashlight makes is easy for my driver to locate me in the mist of many yellow or white lights

It's a fine little flashlight, but not what I ordered. Cost of return isn't worth it, though.
