How long does it take to charge 40 aa 2800 mah batter?

I've never charged that many. I have charged about 25 and the optimal time is around 8 hours. There are charging lights for each pair of batteries. The lights will be orange when the charging starts and blue when the batteries are charged. You can remove the charged pair when the lights turn blue but I've found that they are only charged about 90% at that point. I leave them all charging until all lights are blue. Most are then fully charged. As an extra bit of info: I have some Rayovac rechargeable AA that are over 15 years old. This charger will still charge them.

Are their 2 electrical cords? Require 2 outlets?

It has a cord that slips at a junction to plug into each side of the charger, because you have to leave it open while charging, sp you only need one outlet.

Does this come with batteries like it shows

No, it does not come with the batteries. I ordered AAA batteries and they did come charged, but none came with the charger.

Can you store your batteries in the case when it’s not charging, or will this discharge the batteries?

I'm using it for storage without any negative effects for AA and AAA EBL batteries.

Bought this because the amount of rechargeable batteries I've accumulated for torches. As four of my torches take nine aa batteries at a time this charger is a time saver as don't have to keep swapping to recharge. Just pop em in and forget till needed.
