This vent cover provides protection against hail and destructive UV rays from the sun. I was able to install it in about two minutes using the pins provided as they fit nicely into the slots on the fan vent housing. The electrically operated roof vent can open fully with the cover installed. Additionally, the vent can now be utilized in light to moderate rain if required.

Welp, Fantastic Fan has been sold out of their brand fan cover for some time now. After some research, decided to go with this Max Air as it was noted as compatible with our 3 speed Fantastic Fan in our 2021 T@B 320s Boondock camper. I definitely don’t regret this purchase. This worked great, looks and functions perfectly with our Fan. The directions were pretty straightforward and I watched a YouTube video for some extra insight. The install took about an hour. You do have to drill holes, but not in the camper. You drill the holes in the existing Fantastic Fan on the sides. 8 very small holes to put the tabs on the existing fan. Once that’s done, clip it on and you’re done! Easy and looks awesome! This will be so nice to be able to leave the fan open in the rain and not have to worry about my fan getting damaged from wind. Also, less light comes in when the sun comes up in the morning. Recommend.

Very easy to install, I installed this on a Maxair fan, it only required 4 pins to go through the mounting system on the fan. It doesn't allow the fan lid to open fully (it does open around ⅔ to ¾ which is fine), but it does allow you to leave the fan lid open without having to worry about rain. I installed another Maxair vent cover on a non maxair vent and instalation was pretty simple, just drill 4 small holes on the vertical edge and bolt on the hardware. They are also easy to remove simply by pulling out the 4 pins, they will come off for whatever reason you want. I also like the protection this gives against hail, I've seen vent lids destroyed by hail then rain soaks the inside of the R.V.
