Our 7 years old daughter likes these books since the topics and Lexile are appropriate for her age and the illustrations are appealing

My daughter has become a total bookworm, all thanks to the Baby-Sitters Club and especially the Baby-Sitters Little Sister series. And let me tell you, that’s nothing short of a miracle! She’s not usually the type to snuggle up with a book, and her ADHD means her attention span is about as long as a TV commercial. But these books? They’ve got her completely hooked! With just a gentle nudge or two, she dives right in without any fuss. At 10 years old, reading has been about as appealing to her as broccoli, but these books are like a fun, engaging rollercoaster ride for her brain. The Baby-Sitters Little Sister series, which follows Kristy’s younger sister Karen, has been a perfect match for her. Karen’s funny, mischievous adventures are short, lively, and packed with just the right amount of drama to keep her turning the pages. My daughter loves how Karen sees the world—whether she’s convinced her neighbor is a witch or dealing with the little everyday ups and downs of being a kid. These shorter, lighter stories let her finish a book more quickly, which gives her a huge confidence boost as a reader. Between the Baby-Sitters Club and the Little Sister series, my daughter feels like she’s part of this busy, fun, and relatable world. She even chats with me about what she’s read, which is music to my ears. And when she watches the Baby-Sitters Club show afterward, it feels like the characters she’s grown to love on the page are jumping right out of the book. I give this series—and the Little Sister books in particular—a big thumbs up!
