Seven seasons in, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia continues to push the boundaries of bad taste and pure mean-spiritedness--in other words, exactly what the fans of this popular show want. It doesn't take long for the five lowlifes collectively known as "the Gang" to lower the bar (including the one they own and hang out in, Paddy's Pub) even further than before. Indeed, the tone is set in the very first of the 13 episodes in this two-disc boxed set when Frank (Danny DeVito) makes plans to marry a foul-mouthed, crackhead prostitute, only to watch her OD before he can pop the question. It ain't exactly Downton Abbey after that. Subsequent episodes find them visiting the Jersey Shore, where they variously hang out on a beach littered with used syringes, tiptoe past two homeless guys engaging in sodomy under the boardwalk, and smoke angel dust with some new liquor store-robbing "friends"; trying to file an assault charge against an obnoxious guy who "shushed" them in another bar; preparing for the advent of a Hurricane Sandy-style storm by ogling the well-endowed TV reporter who's on the scene; and, in a season-ending two-parter, attending their high school reunion, where they discover they're no more popular as adults than they were as students. Some of this is genuinely funny, like the video Frank concocts when they decide that Paddy's needs an online presence; some is just gross, including a disgusting bit about vomiting up fake blood. The fact is, there's a lot more raunch than wit in these episodes, most of which are celebrations of insults, inappropriate remarks, and just plain stupidity. Of course, one person's vulgar is another's hilarious; what some find repellent, others will consider merely irreverent. --Sam Graham Join the dysfunctional gang at Paddy's Pub For another outrageously raunchy season of scheming; scamming; backstabbing; and all-around inappropriateness! Whether they're giving a hooker an image makeover; hitting the beach at the Jersey Shore; preparing For the apocalypse; or simply engaging in a little good old-fashioned cyber-stalking; the gang delivers more trash-talking; half-baked insanity than ever before. Now; get ready to get fat with Mac and indulge in Season Seven of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia; stuffed with uproarious extras. Review: Good season - Good season, but there's better ones. It's just so hard because they're all great and it was hard to choose Review: Alf is better - Tony danza is awesome in this! His little girl is adorable. The old lady Mona is hilarious! This is a great family show but not as fun as alf

A (Very) Guilty Pleasure
Sometime in February, I discovered this series. And since the first nine seasons were available through my Amazon Prime account, I could watch them anytime on my Amazon Fire TV, which was actually the only tv available to me in my kitchen/family room, there being no cable line available in that part of the house. I've heard this show being tauted as "Seinfeld on crack." Heheh. This is actually not so very far from accurate. Four narcissistic, underachieving friends: Charlie (Charlie Day), Mac (Rob McElhenney), Dennis (Glenn Howerton), and his twin sister Dee (Kaitlin Olson); are the owners and/or employees of an Irish pub in Philadelphia. Danny Devito joined the cast in the 2nd season as Frank Reynolds, father of the twins. He immediately became part of The Gang, and has never- not by any stretch- been the most sane or rational of the group. This is the most Laugh-Out-Loud sitcom I think I've ever had the privilege to watch. The hilarious antics, the crazy situations The Gang gets immersed in will amuse to no end. I bear warning, however, that nothing is taboo and nothing is sacred to this dysfunctional group. And when I say nothing and I mean NOTHING! I pop an episode on just about every time I clean, snack, or just hang out in my kitchen. I know I've seen every episode of every season at least twice, and some of the funniest I've seen multiple times. It is such a sinful pleasure! I'm usually not much for low-brow, degenerate humor, but this show is just so ridiculously funny, and it never gets old!

The Gang at Paddy's Pub is Back!
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is one my guilty pleasures in life. The characters are complete losers and the plots are crazy, but thanks to great writing its one of the funniest series currently on television. When I ordered this last week I only paid $24.99 and it is well worth the price for the uncut episodes. This season had a twist with Mac gaining weight and all is revealed in "How Mac Got Fat". My favorite episodes are the two-part season finale in which the gang, and Frank, returns to their high school for a reunion. The episodes in season seven are: Disc 1: Frank's Pretty Woman The Gang Goes to The Jersey Shore Frank Reynolds' Little Beauties Sweet Dee Gets Audited Frank's Brother The Storm of the Century Chardee Macdennis: The Game of Games Disc 2: The Anti-Social Network The Gang Gets Trapped How Mac Got Fat Thunder Gum Express The High School Reunion The High School Reunion Part 2: The Gang's Revenge Special Features: Blooper Reel Artemis Tours Philadelphia Commentary on: "The Anti-Social Network", "The Gang Gets Trapped", and "The High School Reunion Part 2"

Great season !!!!!!
When I was buying this was afraid it might be not as good as previous ones, season six was not so good was afraid it might be like six. I did not see this season on tv cause I live in Europe ,feel angry cause it's no longer on tv ,only first 1-4 seasons was shown . but I'm a true fan of Sunny I got all series . Wow did not expect that it will be that good! The Gang is back with great new season 7 and it is so funny like the first ones! Haha if only Mac would not get so fat ;) For me it's one of the BEST Sunny's seasons ! You won't be disapointed , the first episodes are simply genius - like it was in seasons 2 and 4 ! Can't wait for more but as I live in Europe I will see season 8 as soon it gets on Bluray ,hope that the price for it will be good at amazon :) I' m enjoying Sunny again so much !!!!!!!

One of the best seasons
Wish they had kept printing Blu rays for Its always sunny. They only did seasons 4-8 I believe. Also wish the quality of the show held up like this. New seasons can’t compete with the old writing. I guess after 15 some odd years it seems like it’s time to wrap up the series, but I’m glad these older episodes are immortalized on blu ray. Some of the best TV ever made

... who have seen It's Always Sunny In Philidelphia either love it or hate it
Those who have seen It's Always Sunny In Philidelphia either love it or hate it. This review is biased because I personally love the show and find its level of comedic understanding brilliant. With that being said, this is the best season if Sunny hands down. Otherwise known as the 'Fat Mac' season, due the actor Rob McElhenney gaining roughly 50 pounds on purpose to show a disdain for 'perfect looking' actors, this season has some of the funniest and memorable moments on the show including: 1. Bag of Chimichangas 2. Rum Ham 3. Frank's makeup 4. Wolf Cola 5. 'For the good of the race' 6. Eggs and boiled denim 7. Ex-girlfriend revenge site 8. Can I have a chip? 9. Avatars 10. Thundergun as a verb 11. Plan B Fans of the show will know what these are reference to and hopefully you will too. Buy this season if you want to know what Sunny is all about.
