Good Lightweight Secondary Backpack for Light Carry
Good lightweight secondary backpack, especially if you want something smaller than a full everyday carry bag I bought the Osprey Daylite Plus as a smaller secondary backpack for days when I do not want to carry my full everyday carry bag. For reference, I am about 5'10" and around 210 lb, and I included photos so buyers can get a better idea of how the bag looks when worn. My main use case for this bag is light laptop carry, bike commuting, gym/library trips, errands, and travel daypack use. I mainly wanted something between a full-size backpack and a packable string bag. After receiving it, the color looked better than I expected. I was worried it would look too grey or dated, but in person it looks cleaner and more usable than I thought. The size makes sense for what this bag is. It is not a huge backpack, but it looks roomy enough for a 14-inch laptop, keys, a water bottle, a light jacket, and a few extras. That is exactly the type of load I wanted this bag for. I would not treat it like a heavy-load everyday carry backpack, but for lighter days it seems much more convenient than bringing a larger bag. The back panel is comfortable for light carry. It is not a heavy-load backpack, but that is also the point. The Daylite Plus works best when it is kept light and used as a compact daypack instead of being packed like a full 30L everyday carry bag. The back panel feels more structured and breathable than a basic school backpack, but it is still a lightweight daypack first. One thing I like is that it feels more portable and easier to grab than a larger framed backpack. Larger backpacks can be more comfortable under heavy loads, but they are not always convenient when you just need a laptop, water bottle, jacket, and small accessories. The Daylite Plus feels better suited for those lighter situations. Overall, I think the Daylite Plus is a practical secondary backpack. It makes the most sense if you want a smaller bag for light laptop carry, errands, short trips, gym/library use, or travel. It is not the bag I would choose for a full heavy school or work loadout, but that is not really what it is trying to be. For a 20L daypack, it fills the role well.

I love this backpack!
I bought this travel backpack for an upcoming trip. The reviews on this bag were great and I agree. The Osprey is very well made, the zippers are sturdy with pull tabs attached. I was hoping it was a smaller backpack and it is just perfect. It has an area for computer and or hydration pack, my purse, sweatshirt, with plenty of room for travel items and water bottles. It’s in my opinion, a great value for the product and is the best pack I now own. The shipping was fast using Fed-Ex.

Perfect pack for day use and commuting
Excellent pack. Plenty light weight and plenty of room for use commuting or day hikes. It can hold a laptop, but not my original intent. I just needed something when traveling by bus or spending a day at a local event. Osprey has excellent service and will perform any repairs as needed if needed. I did not really need the waist straps so I folded them back and clipped them out of the way. Osprey seems to be manufacturer of choice. I cannot disagree

Has me planning trips
I have not used the backpack, these are my impressions. I've been shopping around for a day pack and have looked at several. I kind of love the Daylight Plus. The green is beautiful, it's like a forest green. The features I specifically noted when comparing to similar items: Quality - excellent. Sturdy and attractive zippers, fabric, stitching. Three compartments, 4 if you count the stuff pouch - Main large section, the cushion to protect and hold the reservoir can double as a laptop/device area when you're traveling. The center pouch has some little organizing pockets, which I find useful to keep small things from falling to the bottom of the bag. The whole space isn't very big, but to be expected for a daypack. The stuff pouch has support on the sides and won't fall open. The clips are good and also allow you to tighten the pack if it's not very full. The small zip pouch at the front is such good use of space, I wish other backpacks did this. Side pockets - one on each side. Large and feel secure because the pocket design has them attached close to the front. Useful when you are not using a water reservoir. Support - Hip and chest straps are a must for me. The hip straps are appropriate for this size, no pockets, etc. Shoulder straps feel cushioned. The airscape back provides structure and support while maintaining a compact design. I imagine this design feels supportive when hiking. I think it's too small for what I need....but I might keep it anyway. I'll update after I've had it for a while.

Almost perfect...
Great daily carry backpack. I use it for work to carry my office with me. Side pockets easily hold a 32oz nalgene and don't stretch out holding it. Inside layout is just what I need and nothing extra. Holds a lot more than I thought. Easily carries a 14" laptop in the padded sleeve, a zipper bag for chargers and cables, a 14" portable display in a protective sleeve, couple notebooks, ID badges, pens, small first aid kit, sunglasses case and can carry a lot more. Material is nice. Wears well and is comfortable to carry everything in. I expect it to last me and years like my other osprey bags I've tried. Only a few slight downsides. None are a deal breaker for me though. Will be keeping this pack until I wear it out. - I wish the secondary compartment with the organizer pockets had a couple pen slots in them. - The backpack does not stand up on its own, has to lean on something. - The shoulder straps could be a little longer and I wish it had a normal set of straps and top handle instead of the yoke harness.

Best backpack ever made
I've had this backpack for several years. I've kept it over full as a get home bag in my work vehicle. When not working, it has come on family outings, road trips, rugged Arizona hikes, and recently a mission trip to a foreign country where I spent over 40 hours on my feet. This pack has been consistent, reliable, and versatile through it all. The storage layout and size make it the single best backpack purchase you could ever make in my opinion. All for under 100 dollars. Osprey has honored their warranty with me on other packs multiple times over the years too. Just buy it. You won't regret it.

Best Commuter Bag!!
I LOVE this bag! I use it primarily as a light backpack for flights and hiking and it fits my needs perfectly! Quality is great, many color ways to choose from, and extremely functional! I don't require much! Biggest thing I was looking for is a side pocket that fits my water bottles well to where I can take it out and put it back with ease (i.e. not have to fight or struggle to get the bottle back in, major per peece!). The mesh pockets allow my 40oz Owala bottles (even the one with a side handle) to slide in and out with ease. And then the small front pocket is great for easy access to my wallet/ID cards and meds. Another bonus is that the backpack can also slide onto the handle of a carry on luggage! Which makes it all the better to fly with. The chest and hip straps also gives good support too. Also I have multiple osprey bags that I've used for years and the quality is still there! Yep, can't rave enough about this bag, definitely worth it!

Lightweight, cool, and plenty of room
Lightweight, roomy, and fits larger water bottles. I picked this up before a family vacation and it exceeded expectations. First of all it is extremely light - so the pack itself isn't weighing you down. For it's relatively small size it has lots of room as a day pack - I used it to carry jackets, sweatshirt, snacks, batter packs, water, and other odds/ends as I visited FL theme parks. And best of all, it fits larger/taller water bottles snuggly so they don't fall out. Oh, and the pack keeps you cool. I was in FL and never got hot or sweaty....in comparison to everyone else I could see carrying backpacks with the visible sweat marks down their backs.

beautiful, sturdy, very adjustable
Beautiful well made backpack. All the straps are adjustable making it really comfortable even when it's heavy. You can actually make the weight distribute mostly to the hips. The colour is gorgeous. I'm very happy with my purchase, worth every penny. It's on the smaller side but still fits a good amount of stuff.
