How do these were with overhead? Has there been any issues with burn throughs?

I do entirely gasless mig, and a decent amount overhead, so I am showered with junk. I have not had a problem with burn-though or anything like that.

Are the material of sleeves a half leather?

Are these small enough for a smaller arm? Im a lady welder, 5'4 140lbs.. blackstallions green "one size fits all" sleeve is too big for me.

They should work fine I would think. I am a slender man, 6'-1", 190 pounds. (I used to be 170 pounds but the aging process has fattened me up in the belly region, not the arms.) I place them over whatever short I am wearing so maybe the extra cloth material of my shirt (short or long sleeve) helps, but they work fine.

Would this be effective for working with hot pans in a school cafeteria?

There is no insulation in it. If you bumped your arm into a hot pan it would be like wearing a long sleeve shirt. If you are looking for protection against a bit of grease spatter, it should do fine.

I cannot comment on suitability for protection for welding protection. I bought these sleeves as arm protection when doing deep frying when wearing sleeveless outfit. Material : stiff cotton - will not give 100% protection if you get hot oil spilled on your arms -hopefully sufficient to protect from minor splattering oil.

Sitzen sehr gut. Ich habe keine kurzen Arme und doch reicht die Länge um auch mal im T-Shirt zu schweißen, im Sommer, ohne dicke Schweißerjacke. Angenehm zu tragen

Son bastante largas, en mi caso me llegan desde la muñeca a la axila el echo de que sean anchas me permite tener la camisola debajo y no se sienten ajustadas, es cómodo trabajar con ellas, recomendables.

Protects me while stick welding in the overhead position. Even if there’s spatter falling all over my arm these sleeves allow it to just skid off instead of melting into my shirt and burning me. Pretty comfortable, however I am a pretty skinny guy with spaghetti arms so I could use a little bit of a tighter elastic on the top by my shoulder but you get what you get for $10. There are great high quality welding sleeves for the money, you barely notice that you’re wearing them because they’re so lightweight. I have burnt a few holes in them but they are still extremely durable, if you’re positioned bad the arc will tell you lol.
