Let me begin by saying that Janome is the finest quality machine I’ve ever owned. It’s just so fancy and I’m amazed every time I sew with this awesome machine. I’ve owned only two other brands, Singer and Brother and I will say that they are great machines too and I still have much love and respect for their machines as well. However, I feel like I have won a jackpot owning this machine. It’s so smooth and quite! Now it’s pretty heavy but considering its size, it’s really not that bad. In my picture posted, there is my Brother (which is both a sewing and embroidery machine) and then there is my Janome on the left. It is quite larger than the Brother but the quality is so superior than any of my other sewing machines. I feel like this machine will definitely outlast me. The stitches are great quality. I’ve experimented with many of them but not all because there are SO many! I bought this machine mainly for quilting because of all the different stitches listed but I will use it for general sewing purposes. I love to sew just about anything but little girls dresses are so much fun! I consider myself an intermediate sewer. I’m self taught along with a good bit of YouTube videos but I’m a fast learner. With that said, if this is your first sewing machine, it may be a little tricky but follow the manual. This machine is awesome. I consider it “my Cadillac”. I know I am looking forward to using this machine for many years! Happy sewing!

I like the machine but I want to use it for free motion quilting and it did not come with a free motion foot. I'm having trouble finding one

I have only used it for a short while. I love the nice way it sews It I quiet and smooth. I haven't used any of the other stitches yet. I have used a pfaff machine for the last 24-5 years and this machine sees as smooth and quiet as it did at less than half the price. It has good lighting ( a must) , there is so much more to the machine that I haven't had a chance to try out yet. When I give a full review I will list pros and cons. One thing I don't like is the lack of info and videos on the web. The s5,7,9 have all kind of reviews and videos of everything about them. The s3 It was difficult to find any that did anything but tell you the parts of the machine. I will be using my machine both for quilting and general sewing. All in all, it is a larger heavier quiet machine. It is very quiet (I love) lots of nice pressor feet in the bundle. Well worth what I paid for it.

This was given as a birthday gift to me. I absolutely love love love this machine!! With my hands having arthritis, the self cutting button, the self threading needle, the drop in Bob and on top instead of underneath, and the smoothness of the machine, is everything I could’ve ever hoped for! It wouldn’t be wrong in investing in this machine.

I've really enjoyed this sewing machine. I've had it since 2017 and it's always been very reliable. I can't believe it's been so long because it runs just like the day I bought it. It's important to use good, quality thread or your machine can end up the repair shop!

The machine did not work as it should have. It would sew for a while then no thread in the material or it would bunch up underneath. I sent it back. I am waiting to hear from Amazon about my refund.

Love this machine, it is so smooth and the thread doesn't get tangled up. It is the easiest machine I've ever used. It's amazing!

This is the first new sewing machine I’ve had since my first machine bought in 1976. I love this machine .... What a difference. I made a lot of face masks with it and very satisfied.
