Are these the same as a 3.5mm audio cable?

Not all 3.5mm audio cables are created equal, but it is true some third party audio cable can be used for this buzzer system. The ones sold here are tested and have guaranteed compatibility.

Is this the whole system or just extra cords? the description describes the whole system but the main image shows cords.

Are the extension cables trs or trrs? The picture of the 4 pack shows trs but the close up shows trrs.

That's a good and important observation which I learned from working through a technical issue with Trebisky. The TRS are not compatible (as shown in the left picture). However, the TRRS shown on the right picture is what's needed for this game to work correctly. In layman's terms, the male pins must be 3 ring, not 2.

Work with the system.

These work with the Trebisky system I bought. Hooked it up and it workd perfectly. Do be sure to hook the buzzer to the extension and then the extension to the base unit. They are LONG. They would reach all the way to the back of the classroom where I will be using it. Only problem, they will get tangled up easily.
