I am curious, why is the sea buckthorn air-dried instead of freeze-dried (like your other berry products)?

HI there! Thank you for the question! Correct, the sea buckthorn powder, unlike our other berry powders (which are all freeze-dried), is air dried. The temperature that is used for air-drying is between 42-45 degrees Celcius. We have actually also tried the freeze-drying method on sea buckthorn but unfortunately this particular berry has proven unsuitable for such process. For its high content of essential fatty acids, sea buckthorn powder gets extremely clumpy and becomes rancid when freeze-dried. So we have stuck to the second best option which is air-drying.
