What a difference this filter made. I ran 3 gallons through it before drinking. It got even better as we used more. Really fresh and refreshing drinking it. I'm glad I got it. Easy to install too. About 5 minutes.

I have a 5 stage RO system in the kitchen which also feeds the icemaker in the fridge. RO water was ok and didn't have an off taste, but I was concerned about the water being to acidic. When you drank it, it was leave your throat with a dry-like feeling. Nothing major, but I thought I'd give this mineralizer a try. SO glad I did. The water tastes great and is far more refreshing! I find myself drinking much more water now than I ever have. I haven't had it long enough to tell how long this will last before needing replacement, but I will definitely purchase again. Only took 10 minutes to install and the kit had everything I needed to do so.

I've had the Apes RO system for about 2 years now. Initially our TDS was at a 4 (yes, 4) when it first installed. After 2 years of constant use by a family of 4, the TDS is up to a 7, still in a great range. I was curious what the PH was and bought a tester. With the TDS at 7, the PH was down at a 6! Not too acidic, but not where it should be for normal drinking water. This PH+ kit is super simple to install. Took me a total of 6 minutes, and 4 of those were getting tools before the install and putting them away after I was done. After flushing this for the recommended time, our TDS went up to 19 and PH went up to 8.5. There is no real noticeable change in test, slight change in feel of the water as it is more wet if that makes sense. The taste is more crisp now without the dirt flavor like Fiji water. Overall a great addition to our Apec RO system, highly recommended! You need this! Buy it now!

When it's time to change this cartridge or whatever you want to call it I can definitely tell. I recently inserted a new one and I finally feel refreshed - on the one that was past its prime I would drink and drink and drink but never feel like I ever quenched my thirst. Now I'm finally satisfied.

Don't listen to the negative reviews stating it's used. Pictures of the ends that look like the tube is cut off. LMAO. They are inserts for shipping placed there from the manufacturer not a used part. I ordered the kit with the holders and 1/4 in tubing and was absolutely brand new. This is the first time I tried this stage 6 filter and I think it's terrific. I was concerned about taste but it's barley any different and I can even say it's slightly better. Better for your stomach since the RO water is acidic. I have been with APEC for many years and will stay with the 6 stages from now on. For reference my water is from a well and TDS is about 700-750 ppm. 20-25 ppm with 5 stage RO and about 40-50 with this stage 6 filter as of today. UPDATE: All mt stomach pains went away within a day of using this filter. After a couple of years of stomach pains and as a last resort, I added this to the ro thinking the ro water water was causing my pains. Well, it was. No more stomach problems and pain and no more pepcid. I'm sure other alkaline filters will do the same.

I have a RO-90 with a ERP-500 permeate pump. Installation was easy and painless. I let the tank refill completely and I discarded the entire tank with that first batch of water. Afterwards it's ready to drink, pH went from 6.0 to 7+. Water tastes great. I just hope this can last more than the 6 months advertised. EDIT: the pH is back to 6 after only 3 weeks of use. 3 WEEKS! I returned the item and do not recommend it.

The pH of my reverse osmosis water before adding this filter was between 5 and 6. I wanted to make my water a little more alkaline so I bought this. I tested the water shortly after adding this and the pH was exactly the same. I waited a few weeks and tested again. The pH is still between 5 and 6. No noticeable difference on the test strips. Disappointing.
