I could have written this book
You won't be able to start a thrift store business just by reading this book. The info is vague and is filled with common sense. This book does not offer any detailed, direct or specific ways to start a business. Wasted my money

You get what you pay for.
You get what you pay for, this is more of a start up brochure than a book. The information is very basic start up info, not so much specific thrift store help.

VERY basic information.
I normally read reviews before I buy something, I must not have read these. Yes, it is VERY basic, the outline given in the description of the book, is pretty much all there was to it. I realize each state/city has different laws, etc regarding retail business', but this was even more generic than that. Very disappointed, but happy I didn't spend more. Also, thought this was weird - I get a lot of books from Amazon, resale shops, garage sales, but the HUGE 2 page disclaimer at beginning of book - saying can not be resold, given away, shared, etc. It would have been logical if there was a lot of proprietary information, but it was pretty generic. It's probably interesting as a 1st book, for someone w/ no knowledge of basic business. I was disappointed in the way they advertised the book, for example the section on how to name your business, etc, had no suggestions other than, pick something that describes your business and is easy to remember. The section on the business plan, was very generic and when it did start getting a little more specific, stated, that if you didn't understand the last paragraph, you need to hire an accountant or lawyer.
